Geeze, I Miss Hillary

While I never thought I would utter this sentiment, I really do miss Hillary. I am sorry to see her go. I am sorry that Obama dissed her and the women who worked hard for her are left with one more all-male ticket for the Democrats. I am sorry she was not given a moment’s consideration by the Obama camp for the Veep slot.

She received nearly 18,000,000 primary votes; Biden received 70,000 or so. Using Democrat math--that means the man wins and the woman loses. Why do I miss Hillary? The reasons are simple: --I never once heard her spouse say he was just “recently proud of his country.” [sic] Whether I agreed with Bill or not, at least he never uttered a disrespectful, smug, demeaning, and condescending statement like Michelle (“Recently Proud of My Country”) Obama did this summer. I think the Clintons are patriots. I am less certain about the Obamas. For a person who was Harvard educated (on taxpayer loans no less), enjoyed a several hundred thousand dollar per year income and is a millionaire with a housekeeper and groundskeeper, and spends more money than many people make just on piano lessons each year, she sure seems ungrateful. --I never heard her preacher say “G****** AmeriKKKa!” Frankly, I never heard any preacher say that--except the Obamas’. --I never knew the Clintons to hang with domestic terrorists, or knowingly sit on boards with them. Or begin their campaign in the living room of a bomber. --While they are liberals, the Clintons could by no stretch of the imagination be called socialists or radicals--a handle that fits the Obamas to a tee. --While the Clintons make substantial contributions to charity (as do the Bushes and the McCains by the way) the Obamas are perhaps the most uncharitable couple to hit Washington in a long time, giving at one point less than one percent of their income to the poor. At least when Hillary talks about helping the poor, she does it out of her own pocket. Not so for Obama, who likes to spend other people’s money rather than his own. --While Hillary actually voted for the federal “Born Alive Infant Protection Act,” which protects babies who survive abortions, Obama blocked a similar measure as an Illinois Senator. He is so radically pro-choice that he would allow a baby lucky enough to survive a botched abortion to be thrown into a dumpster. Sure the Clintons were imperfect as we all are, and they certainly had their share of scandals. Yet, I miss them already. By comparison to the radical Obamas, Hillary and Bill now seem fairly normal.
