As men continue their plots and earth's leaders push for superior position and demagogues and delegates meet for their vain summits in the conspiracy of all conspiracies, God laughs. The ever increasing anti-semitisim and persecution of christians is really a war against the Messiah(Psalm 2:4). God laughs because His attributes include sovereignty, omnipotence and immutability so he knows well the absolute vanity of the rebellion of foolish men to thwart His will and His purposes. The laughter quickly becomes supreme contempt followded by anger. He is not amused. Can His wrath be far behind?
“Yet have I set My King upon My holy hill of Zion.” Psalm 2:6) His appointment is an eternal decree and He scoffs at the feeble attempts of finite men to overthrow His plans. He then invites His Son to simply ask for these same rebellious nations for His inheritance. (Psalm 2:8)
The unprecedented catastrophes world-wide we are now witnessing will only increase because of the simple law of cause and effect. The foolishness of the nations to try and outwit God is the reason for our unprecedented troubles and any actions God chooses to take will be in accordance with His wisdom and justice for He is immutable and completely consistent and history bears this out.
"O kings and rulers of the earth, listen while there is time. Serve the Lord with reverent fear; rejoice with trembling. Fall down before his Son and kiss his feet[e] before His anger is roused and you perish. I am warning you—his wrath will soon begin. But oh, the joys of those who put their trust in him! (Psalm 2:10)
