Eric Bissell, National President and Frank Dimant, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, reject the sensationalized media reports, specifically the headlines relating to Bill Surkis.
Media reports have erroneously identified Mr. Surkis as an “ex B’nai Brith boss” or “B’nai Brith head”. In fact, Mr. Surkis served for less than two years sometime ago in the capacity of a contract regional worker for B’nai Brith Canada.
The charges stem from a period in which Mr. Surkis had no connection to B’nai Brith Canada.
Any attempt to tarnish the reputation of B’nai Brith Canada, Canadian Jewry’s leading human rights and social service organization is unacceptable
