Welcome back, Mr. O’Reilly, it’s been an interminably long week without you

Killing the Messenger Didn’t Work. Bill O’Reilly’s Back on Monday

You can’t kill the messenger. Just ask the recently Fox news “dropped” Bill O’Reilly. You can’t kill the messenger when that messenger is savvy enough to spring right back ‘atcha with a brilliant delivery by way of a coming unstoppable podcast punch. The “No Spin Zone”, killed off by the Progressive Left principals now running Fox News is alive and kicking—with a promised 7 p.m., Monday return on Bill O’Reilly’s website (billoreilly.com).
You can kick a guy when he’s down, but can’t do anything when the technology of the day brings him back up with his signature Irish smile. That’s largely because technology belongs to everybody, not just a television network raking in billions of dollars. “Less than a week after Fox News announced it would be parting ways with Bill O'Reilly following a sexual harassment controversy, the former host plans to return with a podcast starting Monday. (Washington Examiner, Aprl 22, 2017)
“Front and center on O'Reilly's website Saturday was a banner promoting the podcast, set for 7 p.m. ET: "Monday. The no spin news returns." During O'Reilly's highly successful run as host of "The O'Reilly Factor," he typically would begin each episode telling viewers: "You are about to enter the No Spin Zone.” “O'Reilly was ousted from Fox News on Wednesday. Speculation had been swirling that O'Reilly would be let go for some time after an investigation by the New York Times a couple weeks ago found either O'Reilly or Fox News' parent company, 21st Century Fox, paid five women a total of $13 million in exchange for agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about their accusations of sexual harassment or other types of inappropriate behavior. The women, not identified in the report, either worked for O'Reilly or appeared on his show. The accusations date at least as far back as 2002.”

Pink slips are convenient when they come during an employee’s vacation. “O'Reilly had been on vacation in Italy, where he met Pope Francis, when the announcement came. He will receive a payout of up to $25 million in his sudden departure from Fox News, according to a report.(Washington Examiner)
“He released a statement Wednesday praising Fox News, but said it was "tremendously disheartening" to be leaving "due to completely unfounded claims.” “Though Fox News removed O'Reilly's name from the name of the show after he was dismissed, the final episode of "The Factor" aired on Friday.
The final episode of “The Factor” on Friday was a far cry from O’Reilly’s take-no-prisoners style. Monday’s replacement could be dubbed “The No Testosterone Factor” with O’Reilly replacement Tucker Carlson choosing as his guest the no-testosterone Caitlyn Jenner, who some claim is really Bruce Jenner in disguise. But by Friday it was already more difficult to find “The Factor” YouTubes on Fox—in fact as CFP and many others discovered you could now only find them by Googling them. "Bill O'Reilly was just murdered in cold blood by the liberal media," bestselling author David Horowitz says.
“O'Reilly was the most powerful voice in cable television and he treated Trump fairly and criticized the dishonesty of the anti-Trump media, says Horowitz, who had first warned of such attacks in his runaway bestseller “Big Agenda:President Trump’s Plan to Save America”. (News Max) “Horowitz noted that after Trump won Obama even made a cryptic comment, saying Fox News played a key role in defeating Hillary. “And O'Reilly was the #1 rated host! He had to be stopped, Horowitz argues. “In Big Agenda, Horowitz claims far left groups began funding an effort to use all the levers they could pull — big media, academia, government insiders, Democratic front groups — to stop Trump's conservative plan to drain the swamp and save America. “A key part of the plan, he says, has been to "take out" Trump allies in the media and conservative circles. "They dredged up years-old, unsubstantiated allegations to torpedo O'Reilly," Horowitz argues."

The closing words of Fox News’ Greg Gutfield, on the final Factor may be more prophetic than he knew: "In the Back of the Book segment tonight, we have come to the last line of the last page of this book," said Fox News’ Greg Gutfield. "As most of you know, this is the final 'Factor.' It has been an honor to sit in this chair over the years of filling in for Bill O'Reilly and to being a guest for the most influential television news program in history. But as the curtain comes down on this show, another one will be raised on a new era.” Who knew the coming new era may not have been on Fox News. It will be interesting to see whether Monday’s Tucker’s ‘Not Much Spin Zone’ will end up being , a “No Go Zone. Only time will tell. We suggest that O’Reilly should borrow the campaign song Trump used for his 2016 presidential race, the Rolling Stones’ ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ dedicated to the progressive left.
At the end of the day it seems that O’Reilly is a walking version of the Irish toast wishing folk, “May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.” Welcome back, Mr. O’Reilly, it’s been an interminably long week without you. NewsMax Mailout
