It is said that one should hold ones friends close and ones enemies closer. Then there is betrayal of ones friends. Barack Obama is President of the free world because the President of the United States takes on that role. He’s betraying his friends. Or sacrificing them.
No Muslim country in the Middle East would have allowed Obama to be the leader. He would have been classified as a dhimmi. Second class. “Lesser than.” That’s racism. There’s no concept of tolerance, accommodation or inclusion in Muslim countries. In Saudi Arabia “Outward displays of non-Muslim religious symbols can lead to nasty experiences with the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, but a personal copy of the
Bible is allowed into the country.”
Have you heard a word from the mouth of the President about this? About the hanging of gays in the public square in Iran; acid thrown on women’s faces for “dishonouring” their families? Amputations of hands and feet. “The eye for an eye” justice system in Islamic countries where tribal culture reigns supreme under the guidance of Islam, the religion of peace?
Yet, it took a nano-second for Obama to go after democratic Jewish State of Israel and accuse Netanyahu of racism during the March election over his call to his base to come out and vote to counteract Arabs who were being assisted to the polling booths so that they could vote. And the odds were in favour they weren’t voting Likud.
This set off the President of the United States of America leading to an unsolicited comment from Josh Earnest, White House Press secretary, the day after the elections “…rhetoric that emerged yesterday that was propagated by the Likud Party to encourage turnout of their supporters that sought to, frankly, marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens. The United States and this administration is deeply concerned by divisive rhetoric that seeks to marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens. “It undermines the values and democratic ideals that have been important to our democracy and an important part of what binds the United States and Israel together… and rhetoric that seeks to marginalize one segment of their population is deeply concerning and it is divisive.”
The President of the United States of America is “deeply concerned by divisive rhetoric”? The man who made incendiary comments about the deaths of black people by white police officers, welcomed Al Sharpton into the White House and holds him close as an “advisor” on race relations, is dressing down Israel on race relations?
Does anyone remember the 2008 and 2012 elections in the USA? Obama’s people did not pander to the black vote? The democrats did not go out of their way to help black voters to the polling booths? Who doesn’t pander to their base Mr. Obama? Does that not make you and your close advisors racists?
Obama seems to lack appreciation for the culture that made it possible for him to become the first black President of the USA; Western culture based on ethical monotheism, the Judeo/Christian ethic. His actions show a lack of love for western ideals. If he cared about Western values, freedom, democracy and the rule of law, he would publicly stand behind, beside and in front of Israel-a sister democracy which unlike the USA, is surrounded by theocratic autocracies), instead of dressing her down publicly. Not a word about the imminent threats to Israel’s security let alone existence. Not a word about the Palestinian refusal to accept Israel as the Jewish state as a pre-cursor to further negotiations.
Yet he is lecturing Israel about shared values and ideals?
What culture is he protecting?
He derides Netanyahu for his comments about the two-state solution yet is silent about Iran’s screams to exterminate the Jews. He keeps Israel in the dark over the atomic bomb negotiations and removes Iran and Hezbollah from the terror list. He speaks privately with Iran, the country that is behind Islamic terrorism around the world, the country infiltrating all countries bordering Israel, calling for her destruction, and competing with Saudi Arabia who gave us Wahhabism. Obama can’t do enough for countries whose culture is anathema to our way of life.
And it isn’t only Obama who has forgotten the greatness of western culture. Look at Great Britain. David Cameron, Prime Minister of Britain recently
spoke about the attacks on Jews by Muslims terrorists and the rise of anti-Semitism in Britain and Europe. “If the Jewish community does not feel secure then our whole national fabric is diminished. It is a measure of the vigor of our institutions and the health of our democracy that the Jewish community feels safe to live and flourish here.”
Yet he has encouraged the development of Sharia Compliant Funds that bring money from the Muslim countries into Britain, which is the top provider of Sharia-compliant finance; reported assets of $19 billion, according to
Islamic Finance 2013.
David Cameron says the British Treasury will issue £200 million (€235 million; $320 million) worth of
sukuk(bonds) this year. The objective is to enable the government to borrow from Muslim investors. Money does not come without strings. The Treasury also said some
sukuk bond issues may require the British government to
restrict its dealings with Israeli-owned companies in
order to attract Muslim money.
Britain, the home of the Magna Carta has established a racist parallel economic system so why should anyone believe the words of Cameron?
There’s one country that has stood steadfastly beside Israel. One country. One leader. Canada and her Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. And he’s attacked in and by the media all the time because of his steadfast support for the only democracy in the Middle East and North Africa. He’s accused of pandering to the Jews-all 350,000 of them, many of whom vote liberal. He’s the only Western leader who stood up and said over and over that one defends democracies.
“Canada and Israel are the greatest of friends, and the most natural of allies,” Harper said in his
speech.
“Canada supports Israel because it is right to do so.” Those who “loathe the liberty of others, and who hold the differences of peoples and cultures in contempt . . . often begin by hating the Jews."
He added “Those forces which have threatened the state of Israel every single day of its existence and which today, as 9/11 graphically showed us, threaten us all...I would argue support today for the Jewish state of Israel is more than a moral imperative. It is also of strategic importance...
Israel is the only country in the Middle East that has rooted itself in the ideals of “freedom, democracy and the rule of law.” Over time, he said this is the only ground “in which human rights, political stability and economic prosperity may flourish.”
Yet
the rest of the West is prepared to throw Israel, a flourishing democracy, a light unto the blight of the Middle East and North Africa, under a bus. To what end?
President Obama, leaders in the European Union, it is time to go back to the ethic that underpins our civilization, defend democracies world-wide, and reclaim western values before it is too late.
