Barack Obama is "NOT MY PRESIDENT" but only "yesterday's man"

Obama's OFA Army presenting him as Current President

America, you've got a problem: Organizing for Action (OFA)--the organization and community organizing project that advocates for the agenda of "FORMER" President Barack Obama--founded after Obama's re-election, sent out an email blast this morning from "PRESIDENT Barack Obama, April 24, 2017." A poisonous play on words put into use by the group that seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama's legislative priorities; a lie getting around the world before the truth can put its pants on. And because OFA is "a nonprofit 501(c) organization and organizing project that advocates for the agenda of former U.S. President Barack Obama" (Wikipedia), the lie that Obama is still president gets to travel the Internet world, scot-free.
This is the message being sent on the day after Obama's first public post-election appearance at the University of Chicago, whose students he's recruiting as "Community Organizers". "Together We Can Protect The Progress We've Made--And Create Pathways For The Next Generation Of Leaders" is the message in the photo proclaiming him: "President Barack Obama, April 24, 2017". OFA members would jump on "honorifics" or "human error" for the outrageous lie that Obama is still president, but if claiming presidency after November 8, 2016 is not sedition, what else is it? OFA activists trying to leave the impression that Obama still holds power in the Oval Office would never concede that the disadvantaged youth of Chicago and other cities have more street smarts than the former president of the United States, who is now trying to force himself on them as their leader. Many of them whose privilege does not include having their voices heard know down at heart that Obama Community Organizer recruiting doesn't come close to solving their generational problems. Some already know that the term 'Community Organizer' translates to 'Community Disorganizer".

That's mainly because they're savvy enough to know that so many of today's disaffected youth are the 'outsiders' while the youth addressed by Barack Obama at the University of Chicago yesterday morning are the 'insiders.' They recognize that if Obama really cared about the youth of America's crime-torn inner cities, he would have addressed them where they hurt most--at the public school and high school level. Not every every youngster gets to go to university. In fact, many of them continue to drop out of school each year, not because they're gung-ho to join street gangs, but because their mothers can't afford to buy their school books, decent clothes or keep them in pocket change. They struggle for survival living in dangerous Chicago neighborhoods where hundreds of young blacks are shot down by other blacks in an ongoing crime wave that neither Obama in his eight years at the White House, nor or his handpicked protégé Rahm Emanuel, keep them safe from. Some of the school dropouts lived through the heartache of watching their mothers grieve the deaths of little sisters and brothers as young as 2 whose lives were lost in the gunfire that rips through Chicago 24-7. Sad that Obama did not mention them yesterday at the University of Chicago because not doing so only adds to their tragedy. A 12-year-old whose mother has lost to peer pressure will never find his way home in the empty words and political rhetoric of a self-serving former president. They're not too young to see through the hypocrisy of a former president who would make an address to university students wth the same education czar, Arne Duncan, who doubled student debt, in tow.

..."Total student debt has roughly doubled during Duncan's tenure, from $666 billion to nearly $1.3 trillion, according to the Federal Reserve. Policymakers fear that rising indebtedness threatens future economic growth, especially since so many young Americans toiled for credentials that aren't valued by employers. (Huffington Post, Oct. 5, 2015)
"Among the more than 40 million Americans with student loans, 1 in 4 are either in default or struggling to stay current, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. While the lackluster economic recovery plays a role, the situation has been exacerbated by the poor practices of the Education Department's loan contractors. The department told the White House in a Thursday report that empowering those loan contractors and reducing their workload were keys to reducing borrower distress. "Yet in May, the Education Department had cleared Navient Corp., the student loan giant formerly known as Sallie Mae, of wrongdoing despite Justice Department allegations that the company intentionally cheated thousands of active-duty service members on their student loans. "Thousands of Americans who took out loans from Duncan's department to attend unscrupulous for-profit colleges are now fighting to force him to cancel their debts on the grounds that they were defrauded on the Education Department's watch."
Meanwhile with so many mothers burying their sons in the ongoing black-on-black street violence in Chicago, someday in the not too distant future, a brilliant Ben Carson-like student will take the floor at one of Obama's university addresses telling him point blank that stirring racial tension is no way to end it. OFA's desperate attempt to reintroduce Obama as president rather than private citizen is not going to wash. Nothing they have done or will ever do can possibly change the outcome of Election 2016. The News will spread far and wide that Obama's Army of Community Disorganizers was a big fail from the get-go. Some down-to-earth students are already saying that other than in his own technicolor, $65-million book contract dreams, Barack Obama is "NOT MY PRESIDENT" but only "yesterday's man".
