Sacramento, Calif. – The nation’s largest pro-troop organization supporting the war on terrorism, Move America Forward, was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Polish President Lech Kacynksi, his wife Maria, and a number of high level staff, including senior military officials. The Polish officials were killed in a plane crash, currently thought to be caused by pilot error, in Russia.
“The loss of the Polish president and his senior military advisors is an absolute tragedy. President Kaczynski was a virulent anti-communist who really helped his country escape the crushing rule of the Soviets.” said Sal Russo, the Chief Strategist for Move America Forward. Russo ran the media campaign for independence of Ukraine as it broke away from the Soviet Union.
“Poland has been one of the strongest allies of the US; they have sent troops into Iraq and Afghanistan to help America fight the war on terror, and they are a critical part of our planned missile defense shield.
“President Kacynski was a big proponent of those efforts and we will miss his pivotal leadership. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, as well as the families of others lost in this tragic accident. Our sympathies extend to the Polish people who have lost one of their most cherished leaders,” concluded Russo.
