Rand Paul assaulted — by a Democrat anesthesiologist?

Rand Paul assaulted — by a Democrat anesthesiologist? BREAKING NEWS… Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Ky., according to news reports. CNN reports:
State troopers responded to a call to the senator's residence at 3:21 p.m. Friday. Police arrested a man named Rene Albert Boucher, who they allege "intentionally assaulted" Paul, causing him "minor injury." Boucher, 59, of Bowling Green was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault. As of Saturday afternoon, he was being held in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $5,000 bond.
Police aren't sure of Boucher's motives yet and are investigating. Paul's communications director in Kentucky, Kelsey Cooper, released a statement. "Senator Paul was blindsided and the victim of an assault. The assailant was arrested and it is now a matter for the police. Senator Paul is fine." Someone with the name Rene Albert Boucher practices as an anesthesiologist in Bowling Green. Paul is an ophthalmologist by training. "Kentucky State Board of Election voting records list Boucher as a registered Democrat," the Daily Caller reports. The article, by Chuck Ross, also states:
According to the Bowling Green Daily News, Boucher was awarded a patent in 2003 for a pain relief product called a Therm-a-Vest. Boucher sold the device on QVC in 2005, according to a news report at the time. A Facebook account that appears to be maintained by Boucher contains numerous anti-Donald Trump postings. On May 17, Boucher posted, “May Robert Mueller fry Trump’s gonads,” a reference to the former FBI director’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. There are no postings on the account about Paul, though there are many others that criticize Republicans in general.
