Darkness is upon us.

As we approach this year’s Advent, darkness is descending full bore upon the world.

Next weekend Thanksgiving will begin the Christmas season, celebrated each and every year by Christians and people of good will, the world over.

As people gather with loved ones, neighbors and friends, the politics of public officials won’t be coming to Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. No one over Christmas will be wasting thoughts on the likes of Joe O’Biden, Klaus Schwab or George Soros when passing the gravy down the Thanksgiving table.

In this world of descending darkness

In this world of descending darkness, Christmas decorations have been removed from Bethlehem, the town in which Jesus came into the world. All Christmas decorations in public view were taken down in Bethlehem, and those who removed them, then got to boast about it.

Easy to remove Christmas decorations that attract front page headlines; impossible to remove steadfast mental images of Mary’s and Joseph’s loving gaze on the Christ Child, wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in the humble Bethlehem manger.

In a fast changing, upside-down world that the God-less try making darker by day, the God-less neither see nor even acknowledge that the celebration of Christ’s Birthday has never changed for more than 2,000 years.

Nor do the God-less see that even some non-believers in their own fold, see Christmas as a season of hope and goodwill.

The Light of Christ comes into the world every Christmas since the very first Christmas, which will be with us ALWAYS.

Thanking our Eternal Father for His Creation

I would like to share with you this little prayer, that I pray each morning while overlooking the sycamore tree from the front windows of my house while pausing to thank our Eternal Father for His Creation:

“Prayers, Eternal Father for all of those tossed up in the confusion of our times, leaning toward anxiety, worry and fear. For all of those dejected, depressed and some even moving toward deep despair because of the loss of hope.
“Bring them back to lives of holy prayer, Eternal Father, so that, in effect, they will be joining Your Only Begotten Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who died on the Cross for Our Salvation, whose Eternal Mission is Bringing as many souls as possible into Heaven.”

May this Christmas Season bring the Light of Christ back into all lost souls, sending the darkness fleeing into even darker depths, never to return.
