Snowflakes got nothing on mainstream media hyenas in desperate search of their victim card

“Hardy-Har-Ha!”. The sound of canned laughter when the heroes of the mainstream media convened for their ongoing Donald Trump-hate-fest at last night’s Dinner with No Dignity White House Correspondents’ annual get together. They tossed a morale boost to their disgruntled heroes, 2016 election losers Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton; a pathetic stab at bravado while their industry heads deeper into irrelevancy and financial failure. Records were broken at the feast. Hardy-Har-Har comedian Hasan Minhaj got a standing ovation for lines such as “Trump, the Liar-in-Chief, which he swiped from patriots who called Obama just that a thousand and one times before.
“Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein spoke to the White House Correspondents Association dinner, recalling their most famous story to the press corps gathered as the media is under attack from President Trump and others in the administration.” (Variety, April 29, 2017) In the topsy-turvy world in which they star, it’s the downtrodden bedraggled media— and not the president— who is under attack. Send for the healing sawbones like yesterday, president of the WHCA this year, Jeff Mason of Reuters. (See Canada Free Press) Woodword and Bernstein should get real and up to date. Watergate went down 45 long years ago. It’s high time to break the next ‘scoop’, and the ‘Russians Stole the Election’ isn’t it.
“The effort today to get this best obtainable version of the truth is largely made in good faith,” Woodward said. “Mr. President, the media is not fake news. Let’s take that off the table going forward.” (Variety) “This is no time for self satisfaction of smugness,” he said, while also noting that late Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee once said that the more aggressive the reporting is, the more offended the public may be.”

Bradlee would certainly have meant “aggressively reporting” on government shysters and not We the People whom the modern day media continue to smear as bigots and racists just as government officials do. ‘Journalists’ hire comedians to MC their showcase dinners when they get together to pat each other on the back for a job they claim is well done. Like his media bigwig pals, Minhas can’t let go of the so-called “suspicious connections between Donald Trump and Russia”. Could it be because comedians like Minhas can get away with sexist ‘jokes’ like the one he cracked about Vice President Mike Pence: “Mike Pence wanted to be here but his wife wouldn’t let him because apparently one of you ladies is ovulating”. The mainstream media of the day who arrogantly tell the unwashed masses who pay their salaries , what to think, what they can say and for whom to vote, now try to dictate to them what is funny. They regard Minhas as a “funny” guy and expect the masses to say, “Yeah, downright hilarious”. But the biggest laugh comes not from Minhas but from the mainstream media claiming that Donald Trump is “abusing them psychologically in order to drive them insane” as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

“Pundits say that Trump and his henchman are "gaslighting" them, taking a cue from a Teen Vogue article that CNN's Don Lemon called "hard hitting." The term comes from the 1944 movie Gaslight, where a malevolent husband (Charles Boyer) tricks his wife (Ingrid Bergman) into believing she is nuts. "[Gaslighting is] a form of psychological abuse where the victim is manipulated to doubt their own sanity," said Lauren Duca, author of the Teen Vogue article. "Is Donald Trump gaslighting us?" asked CNN correspondent Brian Stelter. "Does he know what gaslighting means?” “Curiously, few in the media claimed the Obama administration was manipulating or psychologically abusing them when it used an "echo chamber" of advocates to disseminate administration spin about the Iran nuclear deal. Or when the administration denied paying ransoms to Iran. Or when it claimed Obamacare would not disrupt coverage for people satisfied with their health care network. Or when it claimed the health care law would "bend the cost curve" down.”
It’s not Trump “gaslighting” the media that we rubes are worried about, but the media gagging the public. These tyrants in tuxedos outdo the cowardice of the snowflakes in their search for safe spaces. Meanwhile, it’s all over but the hangovers this morning, but unfortunately the media hangers-on, now fully-fledged hype-sters rather than journos, will continue to try to present America to the outside world as a sick joke that ignores hostile threats from North Korea and Iran while continuing on with the big lie that Russia stole the election—all because they can’t live with the guilt of knowing their most recent election predictions on polls were a mainstream media fraud.
