The "Reverend" Pat Robertson, business-tycoon, erstwhile faith-healer and U.S. presidential candidate, tells us that God has abandoned the Haitian people, who have only themselves to blame for the earthquake because their ancestors made a "pact with the Devil."

This is the same Robertson who said the New Yorkers deserved the 9/11 attack for their sinful ways; that Hinduism and Islam are Satanic; that some Protestant denominations harbor the Antichrist; that Scotland is "a Dark-land, overrun with homosexuals. "His "Reverence" also has called for the murder of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, and had given his personal guarantee that the world would end in 1982. I don't know about God, but I do know that common sense, compassion, and decency abandoned Robertson a long time ago.
