The ugly American has popped its head up again. This time in Rio, during the Olympic games. The pride of America and parents of the four guys on the American swim team was knocked down in disgrace.
In definition, immaturity is something or someone who hasn't developed fully. We all age, but some of us never grow up. It manifested as example, when "happy hour" extended into the wee hours of the morning for the four. Nothing good usually happens after midnight when mixing booze with celebration, happy turns into a not so happy evening.
Not unique are the consequences when common sense is blurred by over celebration, known as intoxication. With the internet, nothing escapes escapades that reflect reputation. The legacy Ryan Lochte, Gunner Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen leave will not be about their participation in the meets, but the bad taste they left because of their antics that will scar them throughout their productive years.
Losing sponsorships and endorsements is all they got for their stupidity.
It's a lesson to heed for the yahoos staggering out of their local watering hole after midnight, wondering if they had a good time, or not.
