If what can happen to Trump goes unchecked, what can the average Joe expect who does not have the wealth or position of a former president. Yes, there but for the grace of God go I

“There But for the Grace of God Go I”

The phrase by 16th Century English reformer, John Bradford, the meaning of which is, “ It means you are lucky not to be in the same bad situation as someone else (as Trump is in) and you feel sympathy for that person) can be applied to what is being faced by former President Donald Trump today as our American judicial system has him in their cross hairs and is happily, and gloatingly being promoted by his political opponents, the Democrats and media. It has been non-stop recrimination by the Democrats against Trump for the past 8 years. Ever since he came down that escalator at Trump Tower and announced that he was running for president, as a Republican, he has been vilified and harangued. It continues up to this day as a never ending vendetta against Donald Trump.

These judicial actions against Trump have been purported to be initiated and encouraged by Joe Biden

Ever since Trump announced that he will be running for president again in 2024, the attacks against him have been ratcheted up. By coincidence, a total of over 90 felony and civil charges have been filed against him hoping to keep him off the ballot in November. It just so “miraculously” happens that all those charges against Trump have been initiated in overly Democrat jurisdictions, which will probably result in convictions against the “evil” Donald Trump, if those cases go to trial. These judicial actions against Trump have been purported to be initiated and encouraged by Joe Biden and his (In) Justice Department, who fear that Trump might just get reelected president.

Many legal unbiased legal minds (including Alan Dershowitz (a Democrat) and Jonathan Turley (a law professor at George Washington University), Andrew McCarthy (former federal prosecutor) etc., have concluded that most, if not all, the legal charges against Trump are made up out of whole cloth, in other words, bogus. Never in the long history of the United States. has our country had to face such a blatant attack on our constitutional republic (remember we are not a democracy, we are a republic). It is unprecedented that our own system of justice has been turned on its head against itself.

A conviction, no matter how flimsy, is almost guaranteed to bring back a guilty verdict against Trump

Since the Democrats control the executive branch, it is no wonder that all the charges against Trump have been brought in New York State (Letitia James), New York City (Alvin Bragg), Washington D.C. (Jack Smith), and Atlanta, Georgia (Fani Willis), all overwhelmingly Democrat strongholds. A conviction, no matter how flimsy, is almost guaranteed to bring back a guilty verdict against Trump.

No matter how you slice it, it still comes out like bologna. This is not what our founding fathers envisioned in drafting our Constitution, it's more like what happened in the former Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin. That Communist butcher routinely jailed his opponents, and many faced execution. Is that going to be what happens in our country, if the Democrats succeed in trying to jail their political opposition? A major disappointment today is that our once primary overseer of our government practices, the main stream media, have abdicated their responsibility by becoming the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

We don't want to become another Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua or Middle East

They have recently refused to air the comments by Republican candidate Trump by claiming that he lies, but have no trouble airing the mumbles and jumbles of their favorite candidate, Joe Biden, who has told numerous lies. A total double standard.

If we don't come to our senses and reverse the attack on political opponents by one party (the Democrats) by a biased judicial system, we might just become a country that we have been fighting against since we became a free country 235 years ago. We don't want to become another Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua or Middle East

Muslim dictatorships, and countries like Iran, present day Russia, North Korea and China.

As former President Ronald Reagan once said, that our country should be “That shining light upon the hill”, not a country like the above named countries that reject freedom of speech, religion, and private property. If what can happen to Trump goes unchecked, what can the average Joe expect who does not have the wealth or position of a former president. Yes, there but for the grace of God go I.
