Tulsi Gabbard used to be one of the Democratic Party’s most influential voices. As recently as 2012, Nancy Pelosi glowingly referred to her as “an emerging star.”
Fast forward to today, however, and Gabbard is warning Americans to stay as far away from her former party as possible, correctly depicting it as a threat to our republic plagued by modern-day authoritarian instincts. She is even being touted as a possible running mate for Donald Trump.

A reversal that extreme is rare in 21st-century politics. What caused it? Did Tulsi Gabbard’s ideology suddenly flip, or did the Democratic Party simply become too crazy to bear?
Tulsi Gabbard joined today’s Tucker Carlson Encounter to reveal what’s behind her transformation, and as you can imagine, she has plenty of stories to tell.
Tulsi Gabbard tells Tucker:
“If you are a person who cares about freedom, who cares about our country, who cares about being able to make your own decisions as parents about what kind of education you want for your child, if you care about having a safe community for your child to live in, if you care about having a secure country with borders, [then] the Democratic Party is not the answer. It is not the answer. They are, in fact, the problem.”
