There will be no peace in the world so long as there are terrorism-enabling progressives like Obama and his successors in the White House

Was Obama sending a message when flashing the peace sign?

Was President Barack Hussein Obama really only playing the clown and "bemusing" world leaders by flashing the peace sign in Washington's nuclear security summit 'team photo'? "He gave the peace sign as the group stood together for a 'team photo'-bemusing dozens of the world's politicians." (Daily Mail, April 2, 2016). If the grinning jokers in the nuclear summit "team photo" are the world's best hope against nuclear attack, then God help civil society.
After eight long years of his antics, many know that Obama would do most anything to turn a group photo-op into another selfie. Performing 'The Wave' at a baseball game with Cuban president Raul Castro, his stand-still tango in Argentina are only the two most recent. But as there has been no peace in America, or in much of the Free World since Obama was installed in the Oval Office, one has to wonder if there was some kind of surrealistic message in his pictorial flashing the Peace Sign at the world. Hijacking peace is de rigueur for celebrities and politicians. The United Nations, which swiped Peace and Goodwill right off traditional Christmas cards, keeps pontificating about a peace it has never been able to deliver for the past 70 years. Muslims never mention the name of the Prophet without inciting the words "May peace be upon him", don't they? The nano-second flashing of the peace sign should go down in history as Obama's signature effort toward elusive world peace. Believing that the race-baiting, Islamophobe-branding Obama is a true advocate for peace would be akin to French President François Hollande believing that it was a technical glitch and not censure that saw his reference to the term "Islamic terrorism" removed from a YouTube where he was trying to warn the world about the dangers of Islamic terrorism.

Deadbeat 1960s 'Give Peace a Chance' progressives

Like most of the deadbeat 1960s 'Give Peace a Chance' progressives, Obama thinks flashing the peace sign during a photo-op or having a daughter whose favorite T-shirt shows off the peace symbol is gifting humanity with peace in our time. This is what peace, Barack Obama style, is doing right now in Raqqa, where Moslem jihadists have taken an entire city hostage. "Isis has reportedly forbidden all Christian and Armenian families from leaving its Syrian stronghold of Raqqa "under any circumstances" as military operations intensify. (Independent, April 1, 2016)
"The so-called Islamic State released a decree effectively keeping all members of the minorities under house arrest, Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS) said. "We don't know the real reason but we think Isis want them as human shields or hostages," a spokesperson added. "Activists with the group, which documents atrocities in the Syrian city, counted 43 Christian families remaining on Thursday. "One of its members writing under the alias Abu Mohammed said the ban was implemented without any explanation at Easter, which they have been unable to celebrate for the past three years under the terrorist group's rule. "He wrote that most of the trapped families are poor workers who could not afford to move elsewhere even when they had the chance. "They suffer from the decisions and practices of the organisation (Isis), which has occupied their places of worship while forcing them to pay tribute, although they are deprived from practicing their rituals and religious practices," Mr Mohammed said, saying they are also subject to regular harassment. "Rami Abdulrahman, from the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights cast doubt on the new order, saying Raqqa's entire population was already confined to the city. "Isis stopped everybody leaving Raqqa. Muslims, not only Christians." "Most of Raqqa's former Christian and Armenian residents fled alongside other civilians and minorities when the city was seized from the Syrian regime by allied Islamist and opposition rebels in 2013. "Isis consolidated its hold the following year, sparking another wave of migration as its fighter executed Alawites and laid waste to Shia mosques and Christian and Armenian churches. "As with its other strongholds across Syria and Iraq, the group orders non-Sunni Muslims to convert, leave or remain on the condition they give up their property, pay special taxes (jizya) and sign a "dhimma" contact agreeing to abide by Sharia law. "Those who stay face increased scrutiny and surveillance, with accusations of public worship, attempting to convert others and other contraventions punishable by death. "This week's reported crackdown came amid a series of reported measures by Isis, which appears to be suffering the consequences of efforts by the US-led coalition to choke its revenue streams and infrastructure. "RBSS said the group was making courses in taxi driving, medical care, engineering and other roles mandatory for all citizens in a suspected move to recruit more civilians. "Militants are also reportedly forcing more people to undergo courses in its ideology and jihad, while rationing electricity and temporarily cutting off water supplies as the humanitarian situation in the city deteriorates further. "Fighters' salaries were cut according to a decree issued earlier this year and the group is said to have become increasingly reliant on the US dollar after a failed attempt to start its own currency."

On the day he posed for the peace sign photo, Obama spoke of the threat of nuclear weapons falling into the wrong hands, such as those of ISIS terrorists, while at the same time patting himself on the back for the 'substantial success' made on the much-criticized deal he made with Iran. "He said the world has seen 'real progress' as a result of the deal and that Iran was already seeing benefits from the deal. (Daily Mail, April 2, 2016)
"Obama branded the controversial agreement a reminder that when the global community stands together, it can promote common security."
In comments following the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, President Obama on Friday criticized Iranian leaders for undermining the “spirit” of last year’s historic nuclear agreement. (Hill, April 1, 2016) "However, he said it would take some time still before Iran could truly reintegrate with the world economy. (Daily Mail)
"The President said no terrorist group had succeeded in getting hold of making a dirty bomb, but said al-Qaeda wanted to and ISIS had already used chemical weapons in the Middle East. (Daily Mail) "He said there was no doubt that if ISIS 'mad men' got a nuclear bomb, they would use it to kill as many people as possible. Obama gave a chilling warning that such a catastrophic disaster would 'change our world'. 'We have measurably reduced the risk,' Obama said. But he added: 'The threat of nuclear terrorism persists and continues to evolve.'"
This from a president who won't even say the words "Islamist terrorism"; who seeks to ban the term from public lexicon, and who some suspect blames the censoring of French President Hollande for saying these words on a White House "technical glitch". There will be no peace in the world so long as there are terrorism-enabling progressives like Obama and his successors in the White House.
