White House Pressured Amazon to Ban/Bury Covid Books

Censorship is defined as the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. Still, when your mind is so slanted toward untruth, the definition of each of those terms becomes distorted.

How else can you explain that the left fights to have books available that promote homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism, sodomy, and all types of bizarre and graphic sexual acts in children’s books—then suppresses books that have a different opinion on covid vaccines, an opinion by the way, that has been proven to be correct?

For well over a year, House Republicans have been investigating how Biden and his Gestapo administration “weaponized” the federal government. Republicans accused Biden of coercing social media outlets to crush American’s constitutional rights. Now, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has obtained internal company emails that appear to show that the Biden administration pressured Amazon to censor books related to COVID-19 vaccines in early 2021, citing concerns that the material contained “propaganda” and “misinformation.”

In a post earlier this week, Jordan this , that he obtained the documents via subpoena, calling them simply, “THE AMAZON FILES.” For instance, in a March 2, 2021, email, released by Jordan, Andrew Slavitt, a former White House senior advisor for COVID-19 response, wrote to the online retailer.

“Who can we talk to about the high levels of propaganda and misinformation and disinformation of Amazon? If you search for vaccines under books, I see what comes up. I haven’t looked beyond that but if that’s what’s on the surface, it's concerning."

Feeling pressure from the White House, officials at Amazon resisted doing “a manual intervention” to remove certain book titles from appearing. The officials believed that the act would be “too visible” and would lead to increased scrutiny.

“We will not be doing a manual intervention today,” an email between Amazon executives reads. “The team/PR feels very strongly that it is too visible, and will further compound the Harry/Sally narrative (which is getting the Fox News treatment today apparently), and won’t fix the problem long-term … because of customer behavior associates.”

The names of both Amazon officials are redacted. However, one “gave very direct guidance to the teams to be boring and not do anything that is visible and will draw more attention.” The email also informs that the bookseller’s website is undergoing a “tweak” that would redirect more people using certain keywords to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Then in turn, a screenshot of the change would be sent to the Whitehouse. Employees were also instructed to play coy with the administration about any further actions.

Eventually, Amazon met with administration officials on March 9^th, because according to Jordan, they were "feeling pressure from the White House," That same day, Amazon instituted a "Do Not Promote" policy for books that were critical of vaccines

In a statement to Fox News, the White House defended its actions but added that Amazon makes "independent choices."

"When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this Administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety. But our position has been clear and consistent: Although we believe tech companies and other private actors should take account of the effects their actions are having on the American people; they make independent choices about the information they promote."

Jordan stated that he has launched a congressional investigation to discover the extent of censorship at Amazon, saying the inquiry will "be continued."

The Biden administration has proven time and time again to be the most subversive and underhanded in history. Knowing what we know now about the injectable poison that this administration insisted on people taking, this act and any others that withheld the truth from the American people should be considered treason.
