Suffer From Headaches, Blurred Vision and Tingling In Ear?

A friend recently asked, “Giff, what’s happened? You’ve lost weight!”  He was wrong, as my weight has remained the same for years. But this is not the first time this has happened. It’s because I’ve never liked dress shirts with tight collars. Loose collars exposing the neck convey the impression of weight loss. But surprise! They also help to protect wearers from glaucoma, the second leading cause of blindness in North America.

While a student at the Harvard Medical School, I heard this story. A 55 year old businessman complained of headaches, blurred vision and a tingling sensation in the right ear. Harvard professors were not able to make a diagnosis. So he consulted doctors at The Mayo Clinic and famous Harley Street doctors in London, England. None could diagnose his problem.

Sanctuary Cities’ protests interrupt Texas House session

Protests erupted in the Texas capitol building on Monday over Gov. Greg Abbott’s new law cracking down on ‘sanctuary cities,’ interrupting the final day in this year’s regular session of the Texas Legislature.

Hundreds of protesters chanted in opposition to the new law, forcing House leadership to stop the session and send state troopers to clear the gallery.  —More…

Sick and tired of teddy bears and flowers

If like me, you’re sick and tired of teddy bears and flowers junking up public spaces because of yet another “man-caused disaster,” then you might be interested in the following:

According to the Saturday edition of the Times of London, there are currently some “23,000 jihadist extremists” living in Britain and all are considered by The Times’ “intelligence sources” to pose a risk of violence. Some more than others, but the intelligence community maintains that all pose a “residual Risk.”

Let’s put this another way; suppose that instead of looking at these dangerous whackos in a law enforcement or mental health context we viewed them in military terms. Exactly how big a hostile force would 23,000 combatants comprise?

WATCH: Rex Tillerson Rides with Rolling Thunder to Honor U.S. Military on Memorial Day

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson joined almost one million bikers on Sunday as a rider in a massive caravan of motorcycles that rode from the Pentagon to the National Mall and the Vietnam Memorial on Sunday.

A video posted on YouTube shows Tillerson posing for pictures with other bikers and preparing to mount his own bike for the trip, an annual tradition that began in the late 1980s as a way to honor the U.S. military and to support the continuing search for U.S. soldiers who remained prisoners of war or were missing in action following the Vietnam War.—More….

@NYGovCuomo, @NYCCouncil, CUNY OK Islamist Butchery Of Women With Commencement Speaker Linda Sarsour

New York City Council, the City University of New York (CUNY) and New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo plan to stick with anti-woman activist Linda Sarsour to deliver the graduation commencement address at CUNY on Thursday.

The Brooklyn-based Democratic Party agitator Sarsour applauds the genital mutilation of pro-woman activists like Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali. In March 2011, Sarsour wrote, “I wish I could take their vaginas away – they don’t deserve to be women.”—More…

Inside Obama’s Secret Outreach to Russia

President Barack Obama’s administration has been working behind the scenes for months to forge a new working relationship with Russia, despite the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown little interest in repairing relations with Washington or halting his aggression in neighboring Ukraine.

This month, Obama’s National Security Council finished an extensive and comprehensive review of U.S policy toward Russia that included dozens of meetings and input from the State Department, Defense Department and several other agencies, according to three senior administration officials. At the end of the sometimes-contentious process, Obama made a decision to continue to look for ways to work with Russia on a host of bilateral and international issues while also offering Putin a way out of the stalemate over the crisis in Ukraine.—More…

The Conservative Approach to Taxation and a Healthy Business Climate

As a small business owner and taxpayer in Morris County, New Jersey, I face two issues that are near and dear to many others in our county: taxes and the business climate.  I believe that these issues are directly related and it is only by bringing business back that we can prevent Morris County residents from being taxed out of their homes.

As a business owner, I am proud that I am able to help my employees to put a roof over their children’s heads and food on their tables but it is also a great responsibility that cannot be taken lightly.  Here in Morris County, like anywhere else in the world, business climates change.

Rolling Thunder and Memorial Day Flowers

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” – John 15:13

As soon as we exited the metro station, we heard the roar of thousands of motorcycles revving up their engines or simply lining up in the South and North Parking lots of the non-descript Pentagon building. It was a pleasant low seventies day but the sky was grey with heavy cloudy. We had checked the weather forecast and the report said, low percentage of precipitation. As usual, the forecasters were wrong when it comes to predicting the weather, much less the climate change.

Thousands of bikers on Harleys drove for days from places as far away as California, Puerto Rico, New York, Mississippi, Nevada, and Massachusetts. A Canadian group was resting in the green grass overlooking the South parking lot. Some bikers had served in the military, others have not, but they have come from far and wide to pay their respects to prisoners of war and those still missing in action. Each bike was proudly flying the American Stars and Stripes and the POW/MIA black and white flag. A sea of Old Glory bandana-clad Americans were waiting patiently by their bikes for the signal for the Rolling Thunder ride to begin their parade through Washington, D.C.

Jefferson Davis ‘Memorial Day’ Funeral Train

Don’t let the memory of our Southern men and women of the Old Confederacy ever die!

The birthday of Jefferson Davis is June 3rd. Davis served as President of the Confederate States of America, United States Senator and Secretary of War under United States President Franklin Pierce.

If you listen closely, and the wind is blowing in the right direction, you might hear a train whistle in the distance.

When I was growing up near Atlanta, Georgia this and the sound of “Taps” from nearby Fort McPherson were special sounds. Today, air conditioners and closed windows segregate the sounds of the trains, owls and the wonderful sounds that are nature’s symphony at night.

Thoughts about Memorial Day

Notwithstanding the fact that contemporary celebrations of Memorial Day have more to do with three-day weekends, back yard barbecues, reckless episodes of alcohol abuse, and other frivolities, the original purpose was to set aside a national spiritual holiday to remember and honor the brave American men and women who sacrificed their very lives in the service of this blessed nation.

Indeed, in the beginning, it was conceived as a day to memorialize those patriotic American men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend and preserve the liberties and precious freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

No one can deny that horse shoes, watermelon, and fried chicken add zest to the celebratory spirit of Memorial Day.

However, in much the same manner as Christmas is not really about glittery trees, blinking lights, and mistletoe, so it is that the genesis of Memorial Day is really about things spiritual, rather than slothful excuses to overeat, over drink, and otherwise engage in intemperate behavior.

We’ve Left Montana: Georgia Here We Come!

Our Conservative Campaign Committee team left Montana still basking in the after glow of We the Peoples’ victory over the Democrats’ Trump-resistance operative Rob Quist. Mary and I are in a van with the Conservative Campaign Committee team headed to Georgia.

The Georgia Trump-resistance candidate Jon Ossoff is leading in the polls against Republican Karen Handel in the June 20th congressional special election. A Facebook patriot sister in Georgia gave me a heads up that guys wearing pink Planned Parenthood shirts were in her neighborhood putting Ossoff literature on doorknobs.

Losing every special election, Democrats are desperate to energize their fake America-regrets-electing-Trump narrative. Leftists continue to pour millions into the Georgia race, putting all their hate-Trump eggs into Ossoff’s basket.

Minister Bains’ lackluster clusters

(This column originally appeared on the Toronto Sun)

Last week, federal Innovation Minister Navdeep Bains announced new details about the federal government’s plan to grow Canada’s economy: hand out nearly a billion dollars in taxpayer money to a few businesses who are willing to ask for it.

To the minister’s credit, he had the good sense not to express it in such candid terms. In the rich tradition of rhetorical poli-babble, he chose far more exciting phrases such as “jumpstarting innovation” “meaningful economic activity” and “superclusters”.

But try as he might to apply lipstick to this pig, it’s still the same old swine underneath.

U.S. diocese: Pope Francis ‘guided our work’ to allow Trans, LGBTQ students into schools

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, May 26, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – A U.S. Catholic diocese has drafted a new policy to allow students who identify as “transgender,” “LGBTQ,” and those who come from a “same sex couple – Catholic” to attend its schools. The Diocese of Jefferson City, led by Bishop John Gaydos, has cited Pope Francis’ controversial document Amoris Laetitia as guidance for the process.

A draft version of the policy states that administrators in the diocese are “looking carefully and deeply at the question of human sexuality and the development of the human person in the light of students who identify as LGBTQ, students being raised by same-sex parents and those in non-traditional marriage.” —More...

USAA To Stop Running Ads On Rachel Maddow’s Show

After facing a backlash for pulling advertisements from Fox News’ host Sean Hannity’s show, USAA will no longer run ads on liberal MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s show.

The insurance company originally claimed that it would no longer run ads on “Hannity” because of a company policy against airing ads on “opinion shows.” The Media Research Center then revealed that the company had placed ads on MSNBC shows hosted by Maddow, Chris Hayes and Lawrence O’Donnell, all of whom present the news from a liberal viewpoint. Why Donald Trump Scares The “L” Out Of Liberal Media ...

It was Bob Dylan who put together the phrase, “... Money doesn’t talk, it SWEARS.” And that is about the first level up from the bottom-line reason behind most of the problems we have in the world today. At least,  the reason for bulldozer-powerful LIES mowing down what is left of today’s rapidly disintegrating civilization.

In 1984,  I watched a disintegrating Democratic Party turn itself completely over to the dark side when Jesse Jackson introduced his ‘Rainbow Coalition’. The DNC at that point became the representative enabler for most everything that I still today consider morally disgusting.

And since that time so many of the ideas that people once considered too ridiculous even to argue about have been legislated into stilted legitimacy: “Wow, that was an awesome looking lady who just went into the WOMEN’s restroom. I think today I’m feeling more and more like a woman!” Or, how about this ‘logic’? “It’s not a baby until it’s born! The woman’s happiness takes precedence over a wriggling lump of protoplasm!” For those of you who don’t see the true absurdity or the real diabolical possibilities of such statements, you are either plain stupid or just as asleep as the rest of a pitifully tv-mesmerized America/world.

The Real Russia-Gate Scandal

Josh Gerstein’s Politico story about the owners of a Russian bank suing BuzzFeed for publishing the “Trump Dossier” containing “unproven claims” doesn’t go far enough. These “unproven” and even disproven claims that have guided the FBI’s dead-end investigation of President Donald Trump, are one reason that former Director James Comey deserved to be fired.

The real Russian disinformation has been the notorious “Trump Dossier,” which has been serving as the “roadmap” for the FBI.

Weeks after Accuracy in Media exposed the nature of this phony document in a three-part series, “The Final Truth About the Trump Dossier,” Wall Street Journal columnist Holman W. Jenkins, Jr., has stumbled upon the truth, saying the dossier smells like a Russian plant. Our verdict was that the dossier compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele was part of a Russian effort, financed by Hillary Clinton donors, to smear Trump. That’s what the evidence shows.

EXCLUSIVE: Lawmaker who wanted to legalize Communists in CA government has Communist ties

In May, anti-communist California State Assemblywoman Janet Nguyen (R -Santa Ana), pushed back hard against Assembly colleague San Francisco Democrat Rob Bonta‘s Assembly Bill 22.

Bonta’s bill was intended to amend an existing statute for removing a public employee who “is knowingly a member of the Communist party” or a member of an organization that “advocates the overthrow of the Government of the United States or of any state by force or violence.”

Bill 22 would have allowed communists to work legally in the California government.

On May 10, the bill passed the Assembly and was headed for a rubber stamp Senate vote, but with the support of her electoral district, often referred to as “Little Saigon,” Nguyen launched a petition to oppose the legislation.

Manchester Bomber ‘Slips Down the Pecking Order’ With Citizenry Left On Their Own

FBI ‘warned MI5 in January that the Manchester bomber was planning an attack on Britain’.

So claim the mainstream media.

The take-down-Trump-obsessed FBI flagged Britain’s MI5 that Manchester bomber Salman Abedi was planning a terrorist attack on Britain.

Caught up in the ‘golden shower’ scandal for which they had paid disgraced ex-MI6 agent Christopher Steele, the FBI thought Abedi was planning to assassinate a key political figure, rather than civilian innocents including children at venues such as a concert.

According to the Daily Mail ‘nothing came of it’ and Abedi tragically “slipped down the pecking order”.
