When St. Padre Pio was asked to begin saying a preliminary form of the Mass of Vatican II, he refused and continued saying the ancient Latin Mass thereby providing an example for the priests of our time to follow.

Prophecy has it that a great Warning and Chastisement are soon to come upon humanity and it appears that the time of the tribulation “is nigh, even at the doors.” (Mt. 24:33)

A key reason for the coming Hand of Justice is the present-day profanation of the Church through heresy and idolatry. St. Paul warned that “There shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:3), and we indeed see the faithful today running after strange gods and spirits that our forefathers knew not, e.g., the charismatics. More and more we see clergy and laity consulting ‘witch doctors’ and calling upon indigenous gods [devils] during pagan ‘smudging rituals,’ which is a direct violation of the First Commandment: Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me (Exodus 20:3).

Apostasy Generated by Satan

In the Third Secret of Fatima, Our Lady warned that Satan’s attack upon the Catholic hierarchy would set in motion the great apostasy of the last times. The gist of the Third Secret was that Satan would capture and possess cardinals at the highest levels of the Church and then use them to misguide the Church but in such a way that this would be done under the illusion of divine guidance. What many would call the “Holy Spirit” would in fact be the devil driving the Church to its own destruction.

The Revolt From Tradition

The Church indeed is being destroyed today by false teachers who spread heresy among the faithful. They seduce the unwary with false promises of unconditional mercy and the fallacy that God accepts us as we are. Worse yet, many bishops now bless criminal LGBT relationships and teach that LGBT disorientation is ‘God’s gift.’

What we are witnessing today is the “revolt” from holy tradition prophesied by St. Paul when he said the Day of the Lord would not come “unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (2 Thess. 2:3) The revolt indeed has come, apostasy is here.

Some will argue that the present direction in the Church is endorsed by the wide body of Catholic bishops, but it’s always important to remember the words of St. Augustine who said: “Wrong is wrong even if everybody is doing it.”

Today’s bishops are doing wrong in their teachings because they have consented to the temptation to cast aside tradition and flow with the world. They have revolted from the Faith.

Francis says Adherents to Tradition are “Idolaters”

Catholicism defined is adherence to Apostolic Tradition as established by Christ through his Apostles. This is what makes one Catholic whereas departure from tradition is what makes one an apostate.

Tradition is the deposit of the Faith [doctrine] and its source, the Mass, which is the perpetual Sacrifice of Calvary. With this, it includes the Holy Rosary, the devotions and prayers of the Faith – the whole package. Tradition is what God in his mercy left the world for our salvation but the modern-day revolt from tradition has manifested man’s rejection of God’s mercy, which has paved the way for God’s justice in the form of a coming worldwide chastisement.

And to think that Pope Francis has done everything in his power to denigrate sacred tradition! He has repeatedly referred to the followers of tradition as "stubborn," "rigid," and "obstinate," and he refers to those who shun the idol of change as ‘obstinate idolaters.’

In his sermon at the Vatican Casa Santa Marta in 2016, Francis all but gave the Church a beating for its "obstinate" adherence to tradition. The following is from his sermon on January 18, 2016, as reported by Vatican Radio.

"Christians who obstinately maintain ‘it’s always been done this way,' this is the path, this is the street—they sin: the sin of divination. It’s as if they went about by guessing: ‘What has been said and what doesn’t change is what’s important; what I hear—from myself and my closed heart—more than the Word of the Lord.’ Obstinacy is also the sin of idolatry: the Christian who is obstinate sins! The sin of idolatry. ‘And what is the way, Father?’ Open the heart to the Holy Spirit, discern what is the will of God."

Francis calls the followers of tradition 'idolaters' while he bows to the ‘golden calf’ of change. According to Francis, it is obstinately sinful to devoutly hold to the doctrine of the Faith, yet it’s perfectly fine for him to engage in “smudging” rituals and to call upon pagan spirits as he did in Canada in 2022.

The “idolatrous” Latin Mass is now forbidden at St. Peter’s Basilica yet it was perfectly fine to publicly venerate the “Pachamama” earth idol in St. Peters in October 2019.

Francis’ brazen contempt for tradition has generated widespread rebellion against the Faith. This places the world in jeopardy because it is leading the world away from Christ and drawing God’s wrath. A return to holy tradition is the only thing that can save the Church and the world. This alone will draw God’s mercy and stay the hand of execution.

And of course, doctrine and tradition never change just as God Himself does not change (James 1:17). We’ve been given “an immovable Kingdom” (Hebrews 12:28), the Rock of Peter, not to be confused with the apostate on the Throne of Peter.

Throughout the ages tradition alone has wrought salvation and stood the test of time, so it behooves the clergy to return to tradition while they have the time. Let them “prove all things, hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thess. 5:21)
