What about standing for fiscal responsibility, the constitution and bill of rights?

The stimulus bill reads like a road map for the fiscally insane

Don’t you just love how every few months more leaks come out as to what was actually snuck into this stimulus bill, well over 1500 pages long? You know the one few politicians even read.

Let’s see what national emergencies were snuck into this $3.4 million for “eco-passage” an underground wildlife road crossing for turtles and other wildlife that could get smashed by cars trying to cross U.S. 27 in Florida. The Department of Transportation is concerned that when turtles and other animals get hit by cars they can become flying projectiles. You know how that is folks. I just hate it when I’m driving down the highway and flying turtle shells splatter on my car. Then there are those dreaded flying raccoons and deer. Naturally, they must build an underground passageway for all the turtles and other animals to cross. My only question is, how do all the brilliant animals know to cross the road in that certain tunnel. Are they also going to need another $3.4 million for an animal training camp so the turtles can learn over years of training to walk only through the environmentally friendly, underground passage? Other national emergencies we must spend money on now Millions of dollars were earmarked for 37 rural bridges according to Sen. Tom Coburn, R. We are not just talking any bridges, but the ones where only 260 vehicles a day would drive. One lead only to a remote saloon and country club. Many of these rural bridges needed repair but does that constituent a national emergency that must be funded by taxpayers? I’m sure there must be bridges, buildings and roads that need repair all over the country. Is that big Government business? I say a big fat NO! Maybe we should fund the repair of many of these rural bridges to nowhere and encourage members of congress to cross them…….then we could close the brides down. Let the members of congress figure out how to raise the money to get back across the bridge.

More insanity revealed

Bureau of Land Management project to study the effect of wind farms on sage grouse in Oregon. You wouldn’t want the grouse to have their feathers blown back. That might hurt their feelings and make it hard for them to get dates.

Doctor please give me more medication

You gotta have millions of dollars set aside for new wastewater treatment plants peppered throughout the country. Why isn’t that the business of local cities, counties and fund raising events? There was money for $300 road signs and millions for special taxiways for corporate jets. Finally, we see millions for skylights in a liquor warehouse. This one makes total sense since if you are sneaking booze you might forgot where you are. You would need to look up to see the light of day shining in or you would panic and think you were in a cave. Members of this congress should be ashamed of spending so many billions in total waste in a time of national recession and struggle. What ever happened to real representation whether they were democrat or republican? What about standing for fiscal responsibility, the constitution and bill of rights? As it is now, its just spend the money on pet projects and run…..hoping we don’t notice the national theft going on.
