The American Revolution II

"Do you not think an angel rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm?" - John Page (1744-1808) The above words are taken from a letter that John Page wrote to Thomas Jefferson. Page was referring to the first American Revolution. We are now participating in the second American Revolution -- and this one is every bit as important as the first. Page's question remains a pertinent one. The left-wing has taken to disdainfully calling us several names: "Birth-ers" because we seek the truth about Obama's legitimacy to be POTUS, and they call us "Death-ers" because we tell the truth about their plans for government-run abortion and euthanasia "clinics."

Conservative Americans believe in the truth, and want the truth -- in fact, demand it. Because we seek the truth, the left-wing might as well call us -- "Truth-ers." Which would make the left-wing "Lie-ers." (A tip of the hat to Glenn Beck for that turn of phrase).

Democratic Party has embraced death as a platform plank.

The Far Left lies, and the left-wing swears to it. In addition to lies, the Democratic Party has embraced death as a platform plank. They are the party of abortion and euthanasia. The "Party of Death" in Ramesh Ponnuru's words. So on the left-wing you have lies and death, and on the right-wing you have life and truth. Death and lies, or life and truth. If you doubt this, then I suggest you familiarize yourself with the history of the Far Left -- a history that they ignore, minimize, and do their best to hide. Now why would they do that? The Second Revolution has barely begun, and I don't wish to get ahead of myself, but I think that it's wise to give some thought to what might be on the post-revolution agenda. The revolution will be neither easy nor bloodless. There will be a price to pay for our freedom. At the end of the day, we should insist on some radical changes being made to "business as usual." Below is a partial list of some items that we may want to attend to:

• Pass an amendment that takes away lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court. The lifetime tenures were intended to insure that these lawyers would be above politics. Instead, they have used their position to foist politically biased, unwanted, unnecessary, and unconstitutional laws upon a resistant American public. Power has routinely been abused, and misused, by this handful of pompous attorneys.
• Impose term limits on the members of Congress (as well as the members of the Supreme Court) -- no more lengthy free rides at the tax payer's expense. They work for us, but obviously have forgotten that, and need to be reminded -- powerfully.
• Initiate a total overhaul of our educational system. No more anti-American indoctrination. Our children should be taught to honor and respect America's freedom and history. The Far Left radicals that have destroyed our colleges and universities must go. Reason, logic, and truth must be returned to their rightful place at the center of our institutions of higher learning.
• Stop illegal immigration. Now.
• Make lobbying Congress illegal. There is no reason for lobbyists to have access to our elected officials. Just because it is "business as usual" in Washington, is no reason to continue this insidious practice. The lobbyists pervert and undermine our entire legislative system.
• Overturn Roe v. Wade and, as importantly, Doe v. Bolton, which was passed at the same time. It is Doe v. Bolton that defines the nature of what constitutes a "danger to a woman's health" so broadly, that even third-trimester abortions are covered. Over 80% of the American public opposes third-trimester abortions. The Supreme Court doesn't care -- five puffed-up lawyers dictating lifestyles to the rest of us. Give each state back the freedom to draw up abortion laws.
• Restore dignity and honor to America's families. We have had quite enough glorification of the dysfunctional, absurd, and deviant.
• End identity politics and multiculturalism. If you feel a need to honor your heritage -- fine -- but don't do it at the expense of your American citizenship -- put America first. For example, I'm American-Irish, not Irish-American -- or better still, simply American. My skin color should be neither a detriment, nor an advantage.
• Put God back in our schools, our government, and our courts.

The above list is hardly exhaustive, but it's a start. There will come a time when the Obama oligarchy will have gathered enough rope to hang itself. There will come a time to act. As the Irish statesman Sir Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men [and women] to do nothing." The time is upon us to "fish or cut bait." Burke also said, "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." Something to keep in mind.

America's Constitution is being demeaned, dismissed, and destroyed. The Far Left want to replace the Constitution, that the Founders entrusted to us, with a "living" Constitution. The implication being that the original U.S. Constitution is dead -- or at best, old and feeble. The U.S. Constitution is based on truth, and truth never grows old and feeble -- or dies. Truth is "like a spring...whose waters do not fail." It is as eternal, vibrant, and ever-fresh as life itself. The Constitution needs our help, however, as it has been under attack for some time, by radical lawyers who wish to bleed it dry of meaning. They must, and will, be stopped. What we are experiencing under the Obama Administration is not merely some reversible pendulum swing to the left. It is an all-out assault upon democracy, free enterprise, and individual freedom. America is meant to never recover from this "swing."

If you have ever sworn allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America, then you are duty-bound to now honor that pledge. There will come a time for action -- intelligent, decisive, and swift. The existence of the United States of America as a free republic demands it. All patriotic Americans -- left-wing, right-wing, or no-wing -- must stand united against the powers that seek to destroy us. Our cause is righteous, our goals are noble, and our will is adamant.
