Obama gave us 48 1/2 minutes of hot air and still did not sell this load of fertilizer.
He could have done it in 20 minutes and been more successful if he had just told the American people what they really need to hear, which is:
"We will immediately initiate Tort Reform thereby bringing down medical mal-practice insurance costs, which would eliminate the need for a lot of the tests that according to Doctors, is nothing more than a CYA measure of protection against frivolous lawsuits.
We will immediately change the laws so that people can purchase health insurance across state lines, which will make the insurance industry more competitive, lowering the cost."
Then B. Hussein O.said that we could accomplish all of his healthcare goals without spending anymore money by utilizing the savings gained from reigning in fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare and Medicaid systems.
If it were possible to save the kind of money he is just DREAMING of, Don't you think it would already have been done?
Have any of you ever heard of any government agency that could operate efficiently and stay within a budget?
Bureaucracy and fiscal responsibility, are clearly and historically an opposition in terms to say the least.
Scrap this 1000 page gobbeldy # bill and start anew.
Senator Baucus has said that if necessary, he is willing to go forward with or without the Republican votes, but go forward he will.
Pelosi has said that she can't pass a bill in the house without the public option, and though the President appears to be saying that the public option is only one of many eggs in the basket, that is an out and out smoke screen, as they plan to backdoor it, I believe.
Obama is not to be trusted. This man will go to any lengths to get his agenda passed, and it is always the same: "We MUST get this done NOW! We can figure out the details later.
The way they will backdoor the public option is by requiring the employers to provide health insurance for the employees but it will be too expensive compared to the governments option, and if they don't provide health care, they will be fined 8% of the payroll tax, so it will be cheaper to pay the 8% and drop the employee healthcare which will automatically put the worker in the public option plan, which is what Obama wants, (for the goverment to take over the healthcare system nationwide).
We were lucky enough to get rid of Van Jones, but there are 34 more Czars that need to go, these people are accountable to no one except Obama. Having been appointed by him and having broad powers to form policy and enforce it, 'Der Fuehrer' has set up a shadow government right before our very eyes. These people need to be relieved of duty and put off the government payroll now!
We are in tight financial straights and he keeps hiring these unknowns (no vetting ) at salaries which I am sure are north of $150 thousand per year. We couldn't possibly expect these parasites to work for anything less.
Democrats and Republicans(ALL INCUMBENTS) have to go.
