Sirius Patriot Radio

Porch light always on at Mark Levin Show

imageNext to the modem stick that assures me of Internet connection wherever I am when traveling the U.S., my Sirius Radio is my most cherished asset. Hearing music in the background is the best way to get through hours of being online for Canada Free Press. When the local radio station I listened to went lib-left, interrupting their “oldies” music format with messages from the far left, I permanently tuned out. Whoever it was that tipped me off about Sirius did me a huge favour. My days are spent listening to the '40s and the only interruption is the sound of the train whistle which serves as that station’s sound logo. When the mood takes me, I sometimes switch over to the all-'50s station for toe-tapping fare.

If you’ll pardon the pun, I’m serious about Sirius. But the best opportunity afforded by Sirius comes from being able to tune in 6 to 9 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, to Mark Levin. Thanks to “The Great One”, CFP can stay on top of breaking stories. The first time I heard that the Times Square attempted bomber wasn’t “an angry white guy” was last night on the Levin show. Tuned in as usual, I heard it when ABC’s Aaron Katersky called in to give Levin an update, informing listeners everywhere that the suspect was a nationalized U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent. By this morning Northeast Intelligence Network’s Doug Hagmann had come up with the first Internet picture of Faisal Shazad, a 30-year-old Muslim from Pakistan, who was recently naturalized as a U.S. citizen. Shazad was arrested late last night by on-the-ball Customs and Border Protection Agents at JFK Airport as he attempted to flee the U.S. to his native Pakistan via Dubai. Levin’s ability to come up with the news faster than anyone else is truly remarkable. On Friday, he had an exclusive interview with a survivor from the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion. “James”, who was on the oil rig that blew in the Gulf called the Mark Levin Show and explained, in harrowing terms, what occurred. In ways that go beyond scoops, Levin’s nightly radio show is a harbor in storm swept times. Although the nationally syndicated broadcaster is known as a constitutional lawyer, he is, as his bio states, first and foremost, “a dog lover”. “In 1998, he and his family welcomed a half-Border Collie/half-Cocker Spaniel they named Pepsi into their lives. Six years later, his wife and son persuaded him to adopt a dog from the local shelter, a Spaniel mix. It turned out he was older than originally thought, and he was the most beautiful dog they’d ever seen. They named him Sprite.” More than any other of its genre, Levin’s book, Rescuing Sprite immortalized the tail-wagging “family members” who run forever over the human heart. Even as things seem at their lowest in ObamaNation, Mark Levin keeps alight the flame of hope, the longing of better days just around the corner. A patriot down to his soul, Levin’s patriotism comes naturally:
“President Abraham Lincoln’s Address on the Battlefield of Gettysburg instilled in Americans a sense of purpose and dedication. That spirit of patriotism was passed on to Mark’s father, Jack E. Levin, when he was a young boy. It also provided the inspiration for Jack to design and publish a compelling illustrated version of the Gettysburg Address as a way to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Civil War.”
The lucky ones will be able to get a copy of the illustrated Gettysburg Address 9 a.m., this Saturday at Barnes & Noble, Tysons Corner, Vienna, Va, where Mark will be signing copies with his friend Sean Hannity, who will be signing his book, Conservative Victory. Others can find the illustrated commemorative Gettysburg Address through Barnes & Noble or via Amazon.com. Meanwhile, the darkness of Obama’s promised fundamental Transformation of America continues to jeopardize the Free World, but at Mark Levin.com the porch light is always on.
