Peace In Our Time?  I Think Not, Let’s Roll!

"I believe it is peace in our time." -- British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain (1869-1940) Spoken on September 30, 1938, after a meeting with Germany's Adolph Hitler -- war was declared between the two nations less than a year later, and WWII got underway. (Link)

"Are you guys ready? Let's roll!" -- Todd Beamer (1968-2001) Spoken as he and fellow passengers set out on an attempt to wrest control of United Flight 93 from Muslim terrorists. (Link) Before I get into the meat of this article, there are a couple of things that I'd like to briefly discuss. First of all, in my last article ("The Bill of Rights Versus the US Constitution"), there's something that I want to clear up. After reading the article, my friend Don Hank wrote to me, and told me that he agreed with everything but my statement, "its time to give sovereignty back to the individual states." (Link) Don felt that the feds are not about to "give" anything back to anyone, and that I should have said that it was time for the states to TAKE back their sovereignty. (Link) He is, of course, right. When I said that the states should be given back their sovereignty, I assumed that those with the power to "give" it back were "we the people," not the feds. Silly me. The second topic that I'd like to briefly discuss, concerns our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'd like to throw a question out -- what in the world are we doing in either of those countries? I distinctly recall Gen. Norman Scwartzcopf saying before the First Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), that the US military had learned its lessons in Viet Nam, and the US military would no longer go into battle without (1) a firm strategic goal in mind, and (2) once that goal was reached, the US would immediately withdraw its forces. Which is exactly what happened after Kuwait was freed from Saddam Hussein's clutches. (Link) Does the Pentagon have Attention Deficit Disorder? Is their collective memory so misty, dim, and befuddled, that they have already forgotten the painful lessons of Viet Nam? Is their grasp of history that shallow, and their ability to learn from the past that lame? (Link)

We should unshackle our troops and let them fight to win, or pull them out

We should unshackle our troops and let them fight to win, or pull them out. In either case, America has no business colonizing either Iraq or Afghanistan -- and make no mistake, both will require a constant US military presence in order to be "kept in line." We can't even get a handle on Pakistan, for God's sake, and they're supposedly our allies! (Link) The US military is now bogged down in not just one, but two (count 'em, two), "tar-baby" Muslim countries, and both Iraq and Afghanistan share borders with Iran; an Islamic country that is openly hostile to the United States, and supplying insurgents and matériel to fight US and coalition forces. I'm just saying.... (Link) I'm just saying -- what the heck is going on? Is there anyone in Washington D.C. who does NOT have their head up their butt? But I digress. What this article is mainly about, is how America has been slowly propagandized into meekly accepting dhimmitude status. A dhimmi, as you know, is a non-Muslim (infidel) living under the heel of a Muslim theocracy. You might want to ask an Egyptian Christian how swell such an arrangement works. (Link) Egypt was, after all, at one time Christian, as was much of the Middle East. Far from being unprovoked aggressors, the Crusaders were simply trying to regain what had been stolen from Christians -- but again I digress. (Link) The other night I watched as Bill O'Reilly, all decked out in his UN-blue power tie, explained to us how we mustn't upset the Muslims by doing anything stupid -- i.e. anything that might offend them. This was prior to Saturday, when Pastor Jones was threatening to burn copies of the Qur'an. This was, admittedly, not the most tolerant thing I've ever heard of, but neither was it the cause for world-wide alarm that it became. For crying out loud, it was one guy, with a congregation of fifty people. We're not talking about 9/11 here. (Link) Watching O'Reilly I thought I might barf, but I rallied, turned off the TV, and started reading a good book. After all, O'Reilly was merely repeating what every "sensible" person already knows.

"Shhh -- don't upset the Muslims, you know how they are."

"Shhh -- don't upset the Muslims, you know how they are." That's the message that "we the people" have been told repeatedly by all the mass media (including Fox). "Don't rock the boat." "Let sleeping dogs lay." "Don't give the Muslims any reason to get mad, or watch out." It's "walking on eggshells time" whenever the topic of Muslims comes up. (Link) Even the wildly irreverent producers of "South Park" backed down like beaten puppies, when "The Threat" was aimed their way. And now Ground Zero mosque imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf, has warned America that we had better stop playing with fire, and allow the mosque to be built -- or else. And we all know what "or else" means. (Link) and (Link) Is that a threat? Just asking. I don't react well to threats, is all. When did the United states of America become such a gutless, spineless, nation of wimps? Since when do "we the people" bow down en masse before ANY foreign ruler or lifestyle? (Link) Since being "housetrained" by political correctness, and liberal politicians, media, judges, and "entertainment" venues, that's when. (Link)

"We the people" have been turned into good little dhimmis

"We the people" have been turned into good little dhimmis. Set up like bowling pins to acquiesce quietly to sharia law and Muslim rule. Why, you'd have to be crazy to upset the Muslims. So we're told. (Link) Well, I never have liked bullies, and I don't react well to threats, (veiled or otherwise), and I'm not so hot at appeasement either. Just so you know. Laus Deo.
