Janet Napolitano: Caring for CAIR at U.S. Airports?

No one can deny that Janet Napolitano faces an extraordinary challenge at American airports.

To begin with, she must implement measures that give the impression that DHS is working diligently to prevent planes from being blown up. Imagine the public meltdown that would ensue should a jumbo-jet packed with 300 or 400 Americans headed to grandma’s for Turkey Day go up in flames because some careless TSA agent failed to check a suspicious-looking passenger? On the other hand, Napolitano must respect the privacy and decency concerns of travelers not accustomed to genital groping, fondling, naked body scans, and the presence of strange hands in heretofore forbidden places. Very challenging, indeed. Nonetheless, given the ticking time bomb (pun unintended) at U.S. airports, why in the world would Napolitano even consider an “adjustment” that would exempt Muslim women from pat downs? Lest we forget, terrorism is almost the exclusive domain of Muslims. Which is not to say that all Muslims are terrorists, but which is to say that nearly all terrorists are Muslim. Why would the U.S. government move to exempt the group most responsible for terrorism around the globe while making life miserable for children and nuns? Clearly, Napolitano is responding to political pressure from CAIR. That being the case, she lacks the judgment and perspective needed to assure that the interests and needs of America are reflected at DHS. Janet Napolitano is out of control. What are you going to do about it, President Obama?
