GOP must take the offensive and control the agenda

The vast majority of America, inspired by the over 100 million strong tea party groups completely repudiated the Obama and progressive agenda in congress by voting most of the liberals out in the mid term elections. The GOP controlled House will formerly start in January, handed a clear and bold vision by the American people to undo and destroy the Obama care Health care bill, reinstate the Bush Tax cuts while making them permanent, stop any push of Cap and Trade, reinstate don’t ask don’t tell and reign in the TSA that is currently assaulting any sane view of Airport security and replacing it with a perverted assault against the American people. The GOP also has to deal with the recent FCC ruling, declaring far reaching control of the Internet, hiding behind the mantle of ‘neutrality’ and security. This is nothing but another assault on freedom of speech and our 1st amendment rights.

Many of us knew well before the lame duck session started that the progressive left would seek all out liberal revenge against the vote of the American people and the GOP, pushing their liberal agenda through as fast and furious as they could. As predicted, they have been standing in lockstep, flipping us all off by repealing the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell law, valued by most of the military, especially in a time of war; passing the food safety bill S510 that puts international and draconian controls on our farmers and growers, hiding behind safety issues. Before that we had ObamaCare crammed through regardless of the fact that it was unconstitutional and the American people in poll after poll didn’t want it. The progressive and socialist agenda has been boldly clear from the beginning of the Obama reign and progressive congress. Trillions have been spent and committed while the American people and our constitution continuously flipped off. Recently, I visited with Frank Salvato, the editor of Newmediajournal.us and a regular guest. We probed the strategy and moves of the progressive congress in the lame duck session. He haunted me when he pointed out the brilliance in strategy of the progressive democrats who have been cramming so much stuff through congress that the GOP will be forced to waste time confronting and undoing many destructive bills starting with the Health care bill passed last year. Just undoing the damage Obama and the progressive left has caused will likely take up their first year of the new GOP leadership, so instead of going forward with their vision and creating jobs, they will be forced to be distracted by battling what the progressives have done. Essentially, this is a brilliant strategy by the left to neuter the conservative agenda of the GOP and new congress. You see it is better for Obama and the ousted progressive Democrats to have the GOP distracted with destroying damage for a whole year or more than to boldly march forward with their new and improved agenda. The Democrats win by creating all the damage and win again by forcing the GOP to waste time undoing all the damage. It is highly likely with this planned strategy that by 2012 the GOP will look like they have done little or nothing in congress the previous two years but be the party of ‘no’ and ‘undoing.’ The Democrats will play this angle like a harp in the 2012 election cycle.

The GOP needs to begin writing an Omnibus bill: declaring all Obama legislation null and void

It is most clear what the GOP must do and now. They must not wait until they start in January but get busy now utilizing the same tactics as the progressive left. The GOP needs to begin writing an Omnibus bill, now, that includes all Obama legislation, starting with the forced Obama Health care bill, then all the passed Lame Duck bills, declaring them all null and void. All the passed bills from the Health care bill on should be written out and all the verbiage included in this bill. The new speaker, John Boehner needs to follow from the school of Pelosi and ‘Deem’ the bill passed, then throw it to the Democrat controlled Senate for debate and endless discussion. It needs to be very long and include all the verbiage of every bill, thus clogging and distracting the liberal Senate and their agenda. All this should go on while the GOP is charting an aggressive and conservative track forward and planning bold moves reflecting the Tea Party agenda and constitution. No doubt the Senate will have their liberal knickers in a twist and be mad but they will be the ones stalled and distracted as they attack it, wrestle with it and finally respond to it. Regardless of a possible Veto from Obama and nasty response from the Senate, the GOP has to think ahead, go on the offensive and refuse to be distracted. I highly recommend and challenge the new GOP controlled House to quickly create an omnibus bill that includes all the unconstitutional, unaffordable and controlling bills crammed through by the progressive congress and Obama administration as null and void. Our new speaker, John Boehner needs to ‘deem’ it passed then throw it to the Senate. This should be followed by a Bill passed by the House that ‘Deeming’ anything passed in the future is no longer legal or permitted in congress. Let the liberal Senate be overwhelmed and distracted with an all inclusive, Omnibus bill that nullifies all the progressive bills passed with this Administration, while the empowered and charged up GOP gets the vision of the American people back on track and ready to win in 2012.
