The mewlings of Gadaffi’s son, the president

Why is it that only when the spotlight of revolution is thrown upon the despots of the mid East we find out about their riches of ill gotten gains? Politicians from western countries were trucking openly with Moammar Gadaffi long before protesters came to call for his ouster in Libya. Canadian Rob Kirby was right on the money when he posted this comment: “When Bernie Madoff absconded with roughly 65 billion worth of assets--it seems to me--NO ONE WAS FORTHCOMING with details where a bloody cent of it was hidden. Has anyone noticed how the whole frikken world seems to know EXACTLY where Gadaffi has “hidden” ALL of his money and how quickly these assets have been frozen???

“Am I the only person in the world who finds this odd?” No, Rob, you’re not. Millions of decent people everywhere ponder why the booty is only important after the horse is long out of the barn. Politicians, like Obama, are a joke when they profess to be shocked and try to make us believe that their words not actions will stop the despots of the world. Sending out strong words written by presidential PR flunkies that can be paraphrased as “Lean off, Mubarek”. “Stop killing your own people, Col. Gadaffi!” are akin to ordering radical Islamists to quit lopping off the heads of infidels. Now that protests have arrived at Gadaffi tents, Austria’s central bank said in a statement that it froze about $1.6 billion in Libyan assets associated with Gadaffi and his family. The UK government revealed that it foiled a plan last week by Gadaffi to move $1.38 billion worth of brand new Libyan banknotes out of the UK. Gadaffi had parked $3 billion in Merry Old England to write his memoirs. The Swiss National Bank says that only about SFr 630 million ($680 million) is left from what were once holdings of SFr 5.7 billion. Italy may freeze `3.6 billion euros’ of assets and Canada froze C$2.3 billion in Gadaffi assets. When it comes to parking money in foreign banks, Moammar certainly got around. Gadaffi, it could be said, had better access to the banks of western nations than their own people did. According to many, Barack Obama is the most anti-American president ever elected. According to Gadaffi, Obama is “our son”. The Muslim Brotherhood are not shy when it comes to identifying what they see as their own. Gadaffi’s high-spending son, Saif, was gifted in Obama earmarks in 2011 (American Thinker, July 17, 2010).

“Obama earmarked $400,000 for two Libyan charities. The money was divided between two foundations run by Gaddafi’s children; Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation, run by his son Saif, and Wa Atassimou, run by his daughter Aicha. What noble causes did our tax dollars potentially help support thanks to Obama’s generosity? “Funding of the ship Amalthea: The Amalthea sailed to Israel with the intent of breaking the Israeli blockade on Hamas. It carried aid for a pseudo humanitarian crisis and supporters who were said to be “keen on expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people in the plight amidst the siege imposed on Gaza.” The ship was funded by Saif Gaddafi’s charity, Gaddafi International Charity and Development Association. Obama’s friend, Bill Ayers, joined attempt #1 against Israel’s blockade on Hamas. Saif joined attempt #2. One has to wonder which of Obama’s friends will step up to the plate at attempt #3.”

Little wonder why Gaddafi considers Obama “our son”. Meanwhile the mewlings of Obama against Gadaffi are drowned out by the military might of the Libyan Air Force Force strafing the rebels on the Libyan Coast.
