At least the GOP has been civil during this whole debate. This is not something that the wild-eyed, hatemongers on the left of the union thugs can say.

Well, here are some elected GOP officials in Indiana trying to lighten the mood a bit with a spoof on the old John Denver song “Take Me Home, County Road.” The chorus of the Hoosier’s song goes: “Bring them home to the place they belong, Indiana!” Great stuff. Lyrics:
74 bring them home to the place they belong, Indiana, not Urbana, take them home 74 Pat Bauer, lost his mind, took his caucus, ran across state lines, Right to work, PLA’s, bunch other stuff, made them run away. Chorus:74, bring them home, to the place they belong, Indiana not Urbana take them home 74 School reform, was our plea rather than debate it, they all chose to flee When they come back, time will tell, if they don’t, they can go to (bass slap) Chorus:74 bring them home to the place they belong, Indiana, not Urbana, take them home 74 Unemployment, (inaudible) we got elected, stop acting like you won, When they show up, you know who, just like Noah’s ark they come back two by two Chorus:74 bring them home to the place they belong, Indiana, not Urbana, take them home 74
In the meantime, the Indiana State Police estimate that 8,000 protesters from several states descended on the state capitol. Here is how many buses and where they were from:
  • 60 buses from Indiana
  • 48 uses from Illinois
  • 7 buses from Kentucky
  • 2 buses from Michigan
  • 1 buss from Florida
