The Republican budget that was put forward is fairly radical. No, I wouldn't call it particularly courageous. Ryan's plan is to decrease taxes on corporations and the wealthy by cutting clean energy programs and transportation.... Now, I root for everybody to get rich. But I believe that we can't ask everybody to sacrifice and then tell the wealthiest among us, well... you can just relax and go count your money. Don't worry about it, we're not going to ask anything of you.There's more - a lot more--but how much can you take? Obama sounds like a Third World simp addressing Sesame Streeters. Medicare is insolvent. Social Security is on its way. And the top 5% of taxpayers--those with "no obligation"--pay 60% of all federal income taxes. Furthermore, tax receipts are now less than what the government pays out in benefits. Does this sound fair to you? Obama loves "fairness," yet what about "freedom," which is absent from his words? Does Obama seek fairness at the expense of freedom? One hates to think so. But the rhetoric rises. And Americans who can count might conclude, Yes.
