8 Be-Attitudes for patriotic conservatives!

With all of the negativity in the news brought on by those within elected office, in conjunction with a complicit media, it might be calming to alter the narrative. For those of faith and conservative values, the following offers a respite and direction:

  1. Be thankful … for your faith, family and freedoms. God has blessed each of us in unique ways, and being thankful to Him for our many blessings is our first responsibility to Him and ourselves.
  2. Be positive … Exude a positive, confident aura to attract positives and repel negatives. Who do like to be around? Are their personalities positive, or are they negative? Positive begets positive and negative begets negative. It is your choice. Choose wisely.
  3. Be bold … Take positions based upon morals, ethics and principles, regardless of any situation. This builds trust and respect. Because few people have the courage to stand on morals, ethics and principles in challenging situations, you’ll separate yourself from those who are lacking.
  4. Be proactive … Seize opportunities to take the lead on core issues, and seek ways in which to improve. People follow leaders with courage and vision, and who ‘walk their talk!’ Carpe diem; Seize the Day!
  5. Be generous … Tithe, share & volunteer! Humility begets generosity, and generosity is a circular gift. Accept the generosity of others as much as you seek to share it, allowing the giver to enjoy the benefit from his/her generosity.
  6. Be vigilant … Don’t let anyone steal your freedoms or your dreams. While being aware of what is happening on the surface is important, be even more vigilant in identifying what is being orchestrated and perpetrated beneath the surface, by terrorists, both domestic and foreign. Detect moral and ethical ‘cancers,’ and prevent them from metastasizing!
  7. Be forgiving … Believe it, or not, each of us has our individual flaws, especially those who don’t believe they have any! A lack of forgiveness leads to retention of negative energy that pollutes other areas of life, and blocks positives from entering one’s life. None of us can be fully forgiven until we are willing to forgive. Forgiveness is freeing, for both the trespasser and the person trespassed upon.
  8. Be Pro-American … Be proud of your non-American heritage, but we live in the USA. God has blessed our country with founding documents, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, which separate our nation from all other nations.
As a nation, we have our warts that need to be addressed, but the stealing of our freedoms and our dreams, by those elected and unelected, does nothing to provide positive solutions, and chokes off the blessings from our Creator. No matter how it is attempted, government cannot replace divine intervention. Let’s act in a way so that God will continue to bless each of us, and the United States of America!
