Buying Love

"Say you don't need no diamond ring and I'll be satisfied. Tell me that you want the kind of thing that money just can't buy. I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love."- The Beatles Our President, hoping to buy himself some love, has instead given Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran the green light to attack Israel.

What shock and surprise there will be when it actually happens. Plausible deniability and excuses are always this Administration's best friend. But it will be too late for Israel. This is not be some gross misstep by a US Ambassador. This is a real lulu of a blunder by our impetuous, Fearless Leader and his Secretary of State. They and their Leftist friends are desperately looking for approval in the Muslim world, as if his Cairo Speech and past statements to the Arab World were campaign promises. This campaign-style foreign policy is indeed puzzling. I did not know that non-citizens could vote, but then, I did not know that a person born of an alien Father with what looks like a "photoshop" Birth Certificate could become President either! Is President Obama in such desperate need of another foreign policy victory lap before the 2012 Election Campaign. Would he would risk Middle-East peace, and perhaps World Peace just to wrap himself in the UN Flag? Is this another "Ambassador Glaspie Moment?" In 1990, Saddam Hussein assumed a green light to invade Kuwait because President George H. W. Bush's Ambassador to Iraq, April Glaspie, for quite murky reasons, had the following conversation with Saddam Hussein: "Saddam Hussein - As you know, for years now I have made every effort to reach a settlement on our dispute with Kuwait. There is to be a meeting in two days; I am prepared to give negotiations only this one more brief chance. (pause) When we (the Iraqis) meet (with the Kuwaitis) and we see there is hope, then nothing will happen. But if we are unable to find a solution, then it will be natural that Iraq will not accept death. U.S. Ambassador Glaspie - What solutions would be acceptable? Saddam Hussein - If we could keep the whole of the Shatt al Arab - our strategic goal in our war with Iran - we will make concessions (to the Kuwaitis). But, if we are forced to choose between keeping half of the Shatt and the whole of Iraq (i.e., in Saddam's view, including Kuwait ) then we will give up all of the Shatt to defend our claims on Kuwait to keep the whole of Iraq in the shape we wish it to be. (pause) What is the United States' opinion on this? U.S. Ambassador Glaspie - We have no opinion on your Arab - Arab conflicts, such as your dispute with Kuwait. Secretary (of State James) Baker has directed me to emphasize the instruction, first given to Iraq in the 1960's, that the Kuwait issue is not associated with America. (Saddam smiles) On August 2, 1990 four days later, Saddam's massed troops to invade and occupy Kuwait." Or perhaps there will be massive finger-pointing at, and within the Administration in the months and years to come as to "Who lost Israel?" This would be as monumental as the Korean War with it's implication for slaughter and nuclear weapon useage. "Acheson's most controversial statement was his speech on U.S. policy toward Asia before the National Press Club in January 1950, in which he excluded Korea from America's defense perimeter. Many scholars are convinced that Acheson's announcement, though authoritatively representing Truman Administration policy, led Soviet ruler Joseph Stalin to conclude that the United States would not intervene if North Korea were to attack South Korea. Such a Soviet-supported invasion of South Korea did occur in June 1950, which led to the 1950-53 Korean War." There are still unwashed blood stains in the streets and gutters of Egypt and Tunisia. Libya is on fire and the United States has been sucked into that conflict without so much as a by-your-leave with Congress. Surely Mr. Obama is not claiming a legitimate right to act in Libya under the 1973 War Powers Act. If so when did the 90-Day clock start and when did he consult with Congress? Egypt must be a real showcase of democracy. I hear tell from the media that the United States is going to give Egypy another Billion Dollars: "Egypt's Prime Minister Essam Sharaf welcomed on Friday a pledge by US President Barack Obama to forgive one billion dollars (700 million euros) in Egyptian debt and provide one billion dollars in aid." Meanwhile the spending and gift giving continues in Jordan: Mr. Obama said the U.S. will provide Jordan with hundreds of millions of dollars through the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the government institution that finances and insures private business to promote economic growth. The result, according to the U.S., will be roughly $1 billion for economic activity in Jordan. The president also pledged 50,000 metric tons of wheat. "All of this will help to stabilize the cost of living and day-to-day situation of Jordanians and will provide a foundation so that these economic reforms can move forward and long-term development can take place," Mr. Obama said. The president's goal, officials said, is to give a financial boost to the political change sweeping the Mideast and North Africa, where dashed economic aspirations have fed unrest. But back in the Holy Land Israel gets a kick in the teeth: "In his speech about Middle East issues Thursday, Obama reiterated U.S. support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem, suggesting that Israel revert to the territory it held prior to its gains in the Six-Day War of 1967, while allowing for swaps of land between the two future states." I have a question. If Israel returns to it's pre-1967 war borders, just what land will there be for "swaps of land?" All Mr. Obama gives Israel here as an invitation to Iran and its allies to push through eight miles of terrain to the Mediterranean Sea, divide Israel in two, and defeat her in detail. Does Mr. Obama really think that the Muslim world wants peace with Israel. Has the Muslim World, with the possible exception of Anwar Sadat and Jordan's King, ever wanted peace with Israel? No. Their stated aim is to wipe Israel off of the map. Their desire is to slaughter every Jew in the region. Next up will be the Christians. Is the world ready for that? It has already begun inside Iran. The Egyptian Revolution is already starting violence campaigns against Coptic Christians. Hello! America simply cannot continue this American subsidized charade of peace negotiations with murderous revolutionaries and radical Jihadists. If Israel is to survive, we must stop this mad rush to appeasement. The annals of history are replete with the failures of appeasement. This so-called Arab Spring is nothing but a ruse. It is a Potemkin Village erected by the Muslim Brotherhood that appeals to only the most naive of souls or to the lurking desires of the World's vile anti-Semites. That President Obama and his Administration cannot see this, is to whistle past a future graveyard. There is no future in this madness, only death and destruction for Israel and a possibility of wider world conflict. Reject this vision America! The Arab Spring is a bold and determined uprising of radical Islam. There can be only one position for the United States: We must un-ashamedly and un-abashedly guarantee the security of present peoples, lands, borders and the integrity of Israeli Sovereignty. Israel is the only peaceful, successful and prosperous Democracy in the entire Middle East. Do not be deceived. The Middle East violence originates always from the Muslim side. How could God be, at once, lusting for the blood of His Chosen People, and simultaneously an arbiter for love and peace among nations? This is a ludicrous and silly premise to ponder, is it not? It is not difficult to answer this question. It is a no-brainer. Defend Israel. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and save Israel.
