Boorishness of Obama was on the menu

Obama seeking legitimacy from the British Queen?

For the rest of the world, yesterday came and went as May 24, 2011, not 2008 as President Barack Obama printed in the Westminster Abbey guest book alongside his signature. Today, England’s proverbial stiff upper lip is being put to the test as Obama still licks royal boots in London.

We common plebes knew well ahead of time when globetrotting ‘President Hopeless’ was off to Egypt, Brazil, India and other lands. But we, like the too many things not known about Obama, will never know whether a buff colored envelope with an invitation to Merry Old England arrived at the White House or whether the White House decided it was time to showcase Hopeless overseas in an official right royal manner. We do know that the boorishness of Obama was on the menu along with lamb, roast potatoes and vanilla Charlotte at the state dinner, where the legend in his own mind continued his televised toast to the queen even after the orchestra struck up. We also know that his sudden love of the Brits is as dependable as English sunshine, if only through the braggadocio of his book, that the father of the one he claims as his own, was “tortured by the British” during Kenya’s Mau Mau rebellion. Now that he’s hobnobbing with royalty, Obama would likely tell critics the Mau Mau rebellion is too far in the distant past for him to give much thought. Yet it was his great, great, great grandfather, native son of Moneygall, who lured him to publicly claim his Irish ‘ancestral’ home. To the relief of many far-off observers, Queen Elizabeth looked uncomfortable on the video of the state dinner and sometimes even fidgeted. No other world leader ever attended a royal state dinner with Hollywood stars like Tom Hanks, Kevin Spacey and Tim Burton in tow, but then again, as Obama proved yesterday, DC’s still back in 2008 with fading stars and unelected czars outnumbering diplomats at the White House. Incredibly MPs and peers will have to listen to Obama’s keynote speech in the historic venue of Westminster Hall this afternoon, where he is expected to assure the Brits that the UK-US alliance is still the “cornerstone of global security”. Speculation of why Obama went to London to visit the Queen at this point in time includes escaping the dignity and inspiration of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu complete with Congressional standing ovations in his absence yesterday. There is no doubt in some quarters that it’s Where’s the Birth Certificate author Jerome Corsi’s fault. Obama is in London seeking legitimacy. Like the nursery rhyme # “who’s been down to London to visit the Queen”, it was the little mouse of no proof of pedigree he was trying to frighten back under the chair. Being legitimized as American president by the beloved Queen of England almost like a royal decree, ends forever the mystery of missing personal documents. How can anyone talk about eligibility when the whole world saw his Buckingham Palace welcome on telly? Take that, Jerome Corsi and Lawrence Sellin! Mercifully, the bootlicking of the royals will be over at day’s end. Meanwhile, what about the children still missing as the heartbreaking result of tornadoes wreaking death and havoc back in his own country? What about those who still don’t know the fate of loved ones and where they’ll go with no jobs and homes in the wreckage of the twisters in America’s flyover country? In the King of the World’s own words: “See you on Sunday.”
