“On November 1, 2008, the director of Hawaii's Department of Health confirmed that President Obama was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, and the Honolulu Advertiser published a birth announcement for Barack Obama on Aug. 13, 1961. In addition, the Supreme Court dismissed a New Jersey lawsuit that questioned the authenticity of President Obama's birth certificate. Furthermore, the President's release of his long form birth certificate on April 27, 2011, provides incontrovertible proof that he is a citizen of the United States and is eligible for his office.““With a mountain of evidence supporting an overwhelming consensus that President Obama is a U.S. Citizen, I have no reason to doubt his eligibility.” I think, if Jimbo really believes everything he wrote, he is way too dumb to be in Congress, but dishonest enough to return to investment banking. I must be engaging in a bit of hyperbole because we are all told by Congress that it is composed of selfless, courageous and scrupulously honest people devoted to their constituents and the country. Congress would never cover-up a felony, which might have been committed by a President because all of its members would then be guilty of "Misprision of felony", which is an offense under U S federal law 18 U.S.C. § 4:
“Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”Hypothetically, of course, that would indeed be a good reason for Omertà. An increasing number of Americans believe that Congress no longer listens to or represents them, but acts only in its own collective self-interest. More and more Americans think as John Adams did, that bottom-up revolutionary change is required to bring the country back on a proper path: “Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.”
