President Obama never seems to deal with ideas, but rather speaks in clichés

Pass the jobs bill now!

Ever notice how President Obama never seems to deal with ideas, but rather speaks in clichés. He often talks about “fat cat” Wall Street bankers, “big” oil companies and of course the ever-popular “wealthiest Americans.” It’s kind of a window into the man’s soul that reveals volumes about what he really thinks about his fellow citizens. His most recent Bogeyman is the “millionaire,” you know, the guy whose picture you see in the monopoly game lighting his illegal Cuban cigars with crisp new hundred dollar bills, while the slavering masses wallow in abject deprivation, dragging their tired asses along endless soup-kitchen line-ups. Yeah, we get the picture.
Problem is that when Barack proclaims that this “isn’t class warfare--it’s math,” who does he think he’s kidding? Why else would he be touting images of avaricious doctors amputating a patient’s feet when all he needs is an aspirin? Why demonize pharmaceuticals that spend billions of dollars and decades of researchers’ time creating new medications to cure illnesses? The answer is quite simple: Barry is appealing to the lowest common denominator, which in a sense is yet another cliché. You can almost see the images in Obama’s mind as he “formulates” his argument; inner-city welfare types, knuckle-dragging hillbillies, Joe six-pack and his buddy, the union shop steward, as well as the ubiquitous single mom. In formulating his policies as the poor being tapped out while the rich get a free ride, he isn’t actually seeking to get a new bill passed, or to even create new jobs or reduce the deficit. What he is actually doing is repositioning the Republicans, the Party of NO, into the Party of HELL NO! And in doing so, he believes that all those who aren’t attaining the American Dream right now will blame it on them, rather than where the blame really belongs.

Ever ask yourself why the US taxpayer had to fork over billions of dollars to bail out AIG, one of the world’s largest and wealthiest insurance companies? Those millionaires that Obama is currently railing about live there and at Goldman Sachs and at Citibank and JP Morgan Chase, all of whom were also bailed out by US taxpayers at the behest of little Timmy Geithner, Obama’s tax-cheating treasury secretary. These are the corporations responsible for plunging the world into recession by granting loans to people unable to repay them and then converting those sure to fail loans into investment products sold off to unassuming investors. Instead of having the taxpayers bail them out, these corporate heads should be sharing a cell with Bernie Madoff, as their actions caused substantially more harm than Madoff’s. The introduction of reason at this point will do little to alter Obama’s plans. Never mind that right now the top 1% of income earners pay over 40% of all income taxes collected by the government, while the bottom 50% pay only a measly 3%. What matters here is the optics of forcing Republicans to defend the rich. The best revenge the Republicans could take on the president is to give him what he wants. Pass his bill with not so much as a comma changed, because that would expose just how vapid and incompetent the president really is, as he tries to get reelected with double-digit unemployment. Obama would be left having to run on his own record without having recourse to the Republicans as whipping boys.
