Democratic pollster Doug Schoen, unemployed

Occupy Wall Street Job Fair???

This morning (Wednesday the 19th) on Fox & Friends on the Fox News Channel, host Brian Kilmeade interviewed Chery Casone of the Fox Business Network. Ms. Casone presented information regarding several large corporations that are presently hiring. They included Kraft, AT&T, Pepsico, and ADT.

Democratic pollster Doug Schoen's piece in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday the 18th showed that fifteen percent of the participants in the Occupy Wall Street protests are unemployed (although I would be willing to bet that that percentage is actually much higher). But, it got me to wondering...if there are so many qualified unemployed individuals that are occupying Wall Street - many of them with college degrees - why are these companies not hosting a job fair at the occupation? Which further begs the question: Why are the organizers not making the case for having participants coming to Occupy Wall Street dressed-for-success? In other words, instead of hanging out at the protest dressed as some sort of a degenerate wearing an idiotic mask, as many of them are, why not occupy dressed in at least business-casual attire? I'm not recommending wearing a 3-piece suit, but at least a smartly-pressed pair of Dockers khakis and an IZOD golf shirt. Both the occupiers and the companies looking for employees are missing out on a tremendous networking opportunity.
