Thoughts on the Rally 11/11/11

An article in Britain's "Daily Mail" recently noted that "Athens announced extraordinary plans to sack its military leaders amid rampant speculation that it was trying to head off a coup d'etat." Which led my thoughts down a path that might be considered seditous I suppose -- a person can dream, can't they? Link Be that as it may, JB Williams, Col. Riley, myself, and the others involved in the "Restore the Constitution" rally know that America is in extreme danger, and that the 11/11/11 rally is perhaps our last chance at ending tyrannical rule in a peaceful manner. All of us want to avoid the violence and bloodshed that we see as inevitable if things carry on as they are. "With firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right" we believe that "we the people" must make a solid show of united strength in the face of America's political elite, and we must do it now. Although, as JB noted in a recent article, the response to the rally has in some ways been underwhelming, it is nonetheless still a valiant effort, and a noble cause. One that I will support come h--l or high water. Why? For the principle of the thing -- because it is right. Such concepts may be out of fashion these days -- integrity, priciples, values, and the like -- but I am not concerned with being hip here. I am concerned with my personal conduct, and doing the right thing. At the end of the day I will answer to God, and nobody else. I am not only concerned with my fate, however, I am also concerned with the fate of America, the fate of future generations, and the fate of freedom.

I am not involved with the rally on 11/11/11 because I think it is a cool undertaking, or because the crowd sways me to move in that direction -- and any lack of enthusiasm by my fellow citizens leaves me unmoved and steadfastly resolute. Whether the rally attracts one, or one million, has no affect on if I support it or not. I try to, as Kipling put it, meet "triumph and disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same." I am interested in living my life with integrity, poise, and honor, and if others wish to join me, then fine, and if not, then that too is fine. I agree with the sentiment (often attributed incorrectly to Mother Teresa) "it is between you and God; it was never between you and them." Link Link Progressives, Communists, Fascists, and their ilk can keep their propaganda, Sorelian myths, and the other methods of mass control that they are so enamored of. Like Thoreau, I am content to march to the beat of a different drummer, and I do not concern myself much with whether anyone has joined my "parade," or not. America at one time valued "rugged individualism," but these days, sadly, it is all about the collective, the hive, the "general will." Not for me. Link Link Congress, the MSM, and the Obama Administration all turn a blind eye toward the economic ruin barreling toward America. "We the people" cannot afford to do the same. If John Corzine's running of MF Global into the dirt doesn't wake people up to the serious peril we are in -- financially, morally, and culturally -- then America is well and truly finished -- "stick a fork in 'er, she's done." Link Link Link I suppose the fact that the paper millions, billions, and trillions that the leeches have stolen from "we the people" will soon be worthless to them due to hyper-inflation; can give us some consolation -- cold comfort indeed. Link To sum up: I believe that the "Restore the Constitution" rally is righteous -- it is the proper response of patriotic Americans to an ever-more tyrannical government, and I support it in all ways. If I am the only person to show up on 11/11/11, I will know in my heart that I have done what I should, as quixotic as it may appear to others. (If this was a Soros production, this would be the point where a famous Nashville band would start humming "The Impossible Dream" in the background of my narration). Link We stand at the edge of a historic tipping point, and it is anybody’s guess as to whether or not we are about to remake the world into something "nearer to the heart's desire," or "sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age" (I don't mean the Fabian "heart's desire" -- saints preserve us from such a fate). Link God willing and the creek don't rise; I will be in Washington DC on Veteran's Day -- with joy in my heart if I am aligned with God's Grace, Life, and Power. You can be sure I will look up at the Washington Monument, and think of the "Laus Deo" on the capstone that faces the sky, and the infinity beyond. God will be in Washington DC -- God is eveywhere; He is just very good at disguising Himself, and it is helpful to be tuned into the infinite to "see" Him. The hand of divine providence intervened during America's founding, and perhaps it will come to America's aid once more. Come to think of it, a Storm and a Whirlwind might be just the sort of "black swan event" we could use about now. In any event, I hope to see you on 11/11/11 in Washington DC. Link Link Laus Deo.
