Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate shall not enact any law from which they are exempt. This legislation allows for no exemptions or exceptions, and extends to the Offices of the President and Vice-President, and to all other Federal employees. This legislation is retroactive to any current legislation to which any of the previously mentioned individuals are exempt (formerly or currently in office, and extends to all future officeholders), including ‘The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.’ This legislation extends to all future actions, including insider trading, franking privileges during an election and voting on pay raises by those serving within either House of Congress for those serving within either House of Congress. Additionally, this legislation requires a Roll Call Vote of each member of each House of Congress, and does not allow for any vote other than a ‘Yea’ or a ‘Nay.’The restrictions within this legislation may not be conventional, but how conventional was the ramming through of ‘The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,’ a/k/a ObamaCare, which was sold, partially, upon the lie of reducing the cost of health care? Until those elected to the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House are forced to adhere to their own legislation and agendas, the American citizen/taxpayer will continue to be overrun by the barbarians in elective office. To borrow a portion of a quote from ‘The Godfather II,’ ‘… this must all end!’ The Founders of our great nation came from the gentry, but their gift to our nation, in the form of our Constitution, the original Amendments to the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, was written to protect all citizens from the abuses of those who believe they are ‘entitled’ to position, wealth and power. With the actions of many members of Congress and the mousy quiet of those who allow these abuses to occur without attempting to eliminate them or expose them, it is apparent there is a huge chasm between the elected and the electorate. The barbarians inside the gate have had their day at our expense. Let’s demand nothing less from the barbarians than what they demanded when they sat in judgment of the executives of Enron, WorldCom, etc. Thank God that our Founders had the foresight to provide for the American citizens’ protection against those who may tend to act as elected royalty instead of as elected representatives. This Thursday, we celebrate a uniquely American holiday. We have our challenges, but we also have much for which we have to be thankful. May you and your loved ones enjoy a day of true thanksgiving for the many blessings our Creator has provided us, individually, and as a nation!
