Looks like British Prime Minister David Cameron, who enjoys public palsmanship with U.S. President Barack Obama, is taking travelogue lessons from the biggest vacationer in American history.

“David Cameron flew to Ibiza for a holiday yesterday--leaving Britain engulfed by the biggest terror crisis since 7/7.” (Thesun.co.uk, May 26, 2013). “The PM and his family caught a mid-morning flight to the Spanish Isle after he told friends he was taking a break for “a few days” over the Bank Holiday.

The grieving loved ones of soldier Lee Rigby, savagely slaughtered in day light paces away from Woolwich Barracks, find no “few days” break from the heartache of knowing how the young drummer met his horrific death.

While Cameron and family frolic in the sun and sand of Ibiza, the manhunt for terrorists suspected of involvement in the Woolwich terrorist attack continues.

It us now known that Woolwich suspect Michael Adebolajo was deported from Kenya to London, England, having been arrested in November of 2010 while heading for neighbouring Somalia where he had been recruited by Al-Shabaab, the Islamic insurgent organization.

Cameron, who only two weeks ago appeared standing beside Obama at the White House during a presidential address followed by reporters’ questions about the IRS scandal, seems to be copycatting his American friend in both dealing with terrorist acts and lavish holidaying.

The Cameron-Obama copycat style could be called the one with ‘The Cut and Run, Go on Vacation’ modus operandi.

In these days of terrorist threats, the copycat routine of the political duo’s got nothing on the copycat attacks authorities are forced to deal since Woolwich.

In Paris yesterday, a French soldier was stabbed in the throat in what was feared to be a ‘copycat’ of the savage attack on Lee that cost him his life.

Police described the Paris attacker as being “bearded, of North African origin and wearing a light coloured jihab” under a jacket.

Back in the U.S. it’s Memorial Day Weekend with tomorrow marking the one day of the year when the fallen are remembered. Let deaf ears be the answer to Cameron should he send any messages commemorating Memorial Day 2013 from Ibiza.

“Mr. Cameron has told friends in the past his wife puts her foot down when it comes to family holidays. An absurd excuse when considering the population he serves can hardly be blamed that their prime minister is an admitted hen-pecked one.

In addition to copycatting each other on enjoying holidays in times of crisis, Cameron and Obama reflect public lack of confidence in popularity polls. The latest British poll shows 47 percent of the population believes Cameron is ineffective in handling terrorism, while 41 percent give him their backing. In America, Obama’s approval rating at the moment hovers at 48 percent.

Prime ministers and presidents who cut and run from terrorist attacks, ducking out for holidays during times of crisis are shameless cowards showing how far leadership has fallen from the days of Winston Churchill and George Washington.
