Even in the harrowing midst of having to get by in a day when governments so casually take away peoples’ jobs and health insurance at the same time; even having to live in a world in which the government gets away with spying on everyday citizens rather than radical terrorists; even in the darkest of eras where there is nowhere to hide, there is one place you can go where no one can touch you. It’s called the Silence of the Heart.
Largely undiscovered but always there during other times of trouble; there for all time, finding it is only a matter of believing it is there. “In the silence of the heart God speaks. If you face God in prayer and silence, God will speak to you,” Mother Teresa of Calcutta tells us. “The Silence of the Heart is the beginning of prayer.” If your belief in the Almighty and the mystery of things there but unseen is strong enough, the Silence of the Heart can be an escape hatch that transcends all that is going on around you. It is the one and only place that Barack Obama, for all of his power and all of his spite, cannot penetrate. Losing your job, losing your health insurance and even losing the roof over your head is not the end of the world. It is the end of the world as arranged by political despots in a hurry to impose a non-existent ‘Utopia” on you and yours.

No matter how ominous and ugly it gets, you will get by because you have no other choice than to get by. If the churches and pastors of the day, fast running out of comfort and solace, are letting you down, find your own place to pray. Praying privately on your own knees is a sincere kind of church. You don’t have to pretend that trouble isn’t challenging civil society and gathering steam. Know the motive of those in office wishing you ill intent and understand how they work to try to make your world a hopeless one where dissidence doesn’t count. The current administration in Washington, D.C. provides a front row seat to evil in action. The enemy is cunning. They are raising your children through public school indoctrination complete with principles and values they will someday turn against their own parents. This is the same enemy who watched as society turned to the Internet, all the while observing it with delight, knowing full well they would someday control it. Still, being aware of what they are doing, brings its own advantages. If you can see signs of your children going wayward in a secular culture that drains human dignity, bring them to your side when they return from school. Talk to them and teach them in your own words while they are still young enough to be reachable. If you are surrounded by people getting by on free stuff and praising the same government that is spreading Marxist misery, ignore them. Statistics prove you are not alone, your country is roughly divided along the lines of 50-50. Somewhere up the street or around the next corner are folk who think the same way as you do. The upside down world we now find ourselves living in is not based on magic or mystery. It is based on politics and egos searching out self aggrandization. The scale of right and justice is tipped their way only because politicians never have to play on an even playing field. They first grab all the assets, remove all legal means for anyone to stop them and continue to force their destructive policies on unwitting, lesser equipped masses. A smothering blanket under the guise of personality cult was thrown over the freedom of the West and life as we know it on November 4, 2008. It unleashed the renewed March of the Marxists over the backs of everyday people, not just in America, but in other nations where leaders were silently waiting for the sick dreams of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels to begin a new roll. It seems that everywhere we turn, we’re finding reasons to give up. That’s exactly the way the Marxists want it. Just as it’s never the time to give up, the time to give up is not now. The best definition of life is is keeping on going. Meanwhile, turning to your inner self is turning to the Almighty. Politicians only torment you. The Almighty made you. Pray to the Almighty fervently in the Silence of the Heart.
