Cairo, Egypt--President Obama is beginning to feel a loss of control regarding the trial of his friend Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama sent Secretary of State John Kerry to Cairo to try put distance between himself and the Muslim Brotherhood; to confirm America's alliance with Egypt and try to keep the Russian bear out of Egypt.
Kerry’s unscheduled visit to Cairo and his meetings with interim President Ali Mansour, and Minister of Defense, General al Sisi, Kerry claimed generated "positive developments". Kerry tried to restore warmth to America's political and economic long-term relationship with Egypt. Kerry announced he is optimistic about the return of Egypt to the path of democracy, and that he aims to ease tensions with Egypt and the Arab countries. Kerry stressed the need for "fair and transparent trials"! He described Egypt as an important partner for America, in an attempt to mend Washington’s damaged ties after Obama’s decision to suspend U.S. aid to Egypt. Kerry said after a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Nabil Fahmy: "We knew clearly that the cessation of U.S. aid to Egypt would not be acceptable, but it was not a punishment. President Obama is making great efforts to make sure we do not harm relations with Egypt." Kerry added that Obama asked him to go to Cairo to clear up U.S-Egyptian relations, and that the U.S values its relations with Egypt.

Interim President Mansour said that Egypt is currently re-evaluating its relationship with the U.S, and pointed to the damaged relationship and the negative Egyptian public opinion. Foreign Minister Fahmy also emphasized: "Relations between Egypt and America is in a disordered transition. Fahmy told Reuters that Egypt will look to other countries other than the U.S to meet its security needs, and warned Washington that Egypt can no longer ignore popular demands amid the changes taking place in the Arab world. Egyptians rallied in central Cairo to protest Kerry’s visit, before he left Cairo on his way to Saudi Arabia. It is clear that Kerry came to Egypt in order to prevent fall out from the Morsi trial, because the Obama administration fears the disclosure of ‘secrets’ as a result of the trial. Obama’s administration is in big trouble because of the crimes of Morsi and the Brotherhood, including the slaughter of demonstrators, prison escapes, the killing of police officers with the help of Hamas and Hezbollah, espionage, spying and collaborating with Turkey and Hamas. These crimes are all linked together with the support of Obama’s administration for the Muslim Brotherhood; and will prove Obama’s administration support for the Brotherhood harmed American interests in the Gulf area, particularly Saudi Arabia. Add Obama's weak position with Syria and Iran; which surfaced with Saudi Arabia’s rejection of a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council. Kerry’s visit comes amid the growing Egyptian-Russian relations. Russia has been a big supporter of Egypt after June 30’s revolution. There is also a possible visit of President Putin to Egypt, which has been preceded by the visit of Russians foreign and defense ministers. Finally--which must have hit like a thunderbolt to the Obama administration--the declaration of Russia’s intention to provide Egypt with sophisticated weapons. For certain, Russian military support to Egypt comes as a stinging slap to the face of the Obama administration. In an exclusive statement, military expert, General Mohammed Elghobashy, said that America is in a weak position with regards to Russia and Iran, having no choice but to make deals over the Morsi trial and the Geneva II Middle East peace conference. Further concessions would bring a loss of face to America. Elghobashy adds that the proven involvement of Morsi and the Brotherhood in acts of violence, terror, murder and cooperation between the Brotherhood and terrorist organizations, such as the Palestinian Momtaz Daghmash and al-Qaeda, headed by Ayman al-Zawahiri, would be a fatal blow to the future of Obama and his Democrat Party. There is a palpable fear in the Obama administration of the trial revelations being laid bare in front of the American public and Congress; revelations that expose for all to see the American relationship with the Brotherhood, which is aligned with al-Qaeda, who are currently killing soldiers, police, civilians, and burning churches and mosques in Egypt. In the Morsi trial, many questions and criticisms will be raised and without the U.S. mainstream media, the Obama administration will be at a loss in confronting them.
