Aside from the reality of Terry McAuliffe's oh-so-narrow win, gotta' love the headline on Fox News this morning: McAuliffe barely wins in Virginia as ObamaCare woes shadow vote.
The Fox headline rings out with the truth: McAuliffe barely won and ObamaCare woes did shadow the vote. It in fact, dogged it right up to the end, which in this particular case is really only the beginning. The photo caption under the headline is none too shabby either: Democrat Terry McAuliffe (middle, between Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine) wins a surprisingly close Virginia governor's race over Republican rival Ken Cuccinelli as the troubled rollout of ObamaCare looms over the vote. All of those who worked so tirelessly for Ken Cuccinelli can hold their heads high. Even with an Obama bundler-financed, third-party spoiler taking 7 percent of the vote, McAuliffe only won over Cuccinelli by a measly 3 percent. Total vote count was McAuliffe, 1,064, 093 and Cuccinelli 1,008, 554.

A furious Mark Levin blames the "GOP establishment" and "RINO mouthpieces" for the narrow defeat, and no one knows the details of the race better than Virginia resident Mark Levin. He posted the following response on his website, MarkLevinShow.com: WE COULD HAVE WON THIS RACE. FOR THE REASONS I HAVE EXPLAINED HERE AND ON THE AIR, GOP ESTABLISHMENT AND DONORS LEFT THE FIELD. NOW, NOT ONLY THE LIBERALS BUT THE RINO MOUTHPIECES CONTINUE WITH THEIR MANTRA ABOUT THE DEAD TEA PARTY AND THE RINO FUTURE. ABSOLUTELY APPALLING! (And they did not spend even $3 million, that was a phony number.) RT@seanmdav: In 2009, the RNC spent $9M to win VA by 17 points. Looks like it'll have spent $3M in 2013 to lose by a hair. Dummies McAuliffe was named the winner of the race Tuesday night. However, Cuccinelli and the third-party "libertarian" candidate Robert Sarvis combined for more than 50 percent of the vote. With 97 percent of the precincts reporting, McAuliffe was leading Cuccinelli 47.3 percent to 46 percent. Sarvis received 6.6 percent of the vote. TheBlaze reported on Tuesday that a former Obama campaign bundler curiously helped fund Sarvis' campaign in the race. Read their exclusive report for more information. "The tweet Levin included in his response was that of "The Federalist" co-founder Sean Davis, who claims the RNC spent more than three times more in the 2009 race in Virginia compared to this year's governor's race. In his reply, Levin claimed the RNC didn't even spend $3 million compared to the $9 million spent in 2009." (The Blaze, Nov. 5, 2013) In other words, the GOP leaving a wide open arena to the Democrats--with their ace-in-the-hole Robert Sarvis thrown into the dirty mix--could not even cheat their way to a handy win. Patriots will come out of this race with an even stronger fighting spirit. The best way to feed that fighting spirit is tuning in to Mark Levin, 6 p.m., EST week nights, at MarkLevinShow.com Meanwhile, for those few planning to use the oh-so-close McAuliffe victory as an excuse to throw in the towel, don't whine. True patriots, already back for another day, mounting new battle lines, are bristling to carry on with the good fight.
