Speaker Boehner(R-Oh) Finally “Evolves” on Amnesty!

A major reason for Republican opposition to immigration reform is the fact that Barack Obama has proven to be a congenital liar who generally regards the rule of law as his personal province, subject to unilateral change or abandonment, depending on his personal views.
Obama’s ‘Pen and Phone’ threats have heightened GOP concern that Obama would cherry-pick immigration reform provisions to increase Democrat party numbers, but would ignore or weaken border security and enforcement. Obama’s disgusting performance in implementing ObamaCare has made GOP concerns all the more valid when it comes to immigration reform. Speaker John Boehner has frightened many conservatives with his mindless embrace of the amnesty nightmare. Until now. As reported, Boehner seems to have evolved, albeit belatedly and unwillingly:
House Speaker John A. Boehner said Thursday that until President Obama proves he’s serious about enforcing immigration laws, it will be difficult to get a bill through the House this year — dealing a potentially fatal blow to the chances for action in 2014. “Listen, there’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws. And it’s going to be difficult to move any immigration legislation until that changes,” the Ohio Republican told reporters at his weekly press conference. That came exactly a week after Mr. Boehner had appeared to jump-start the debate by releasing principles for an immigration deal that included granting most illegal immigrants legal status and giving younger illegal immigrants a specific pathway to citizenship.”
Boehner’s actions will surely add to Latino hostility toward GOP politicians since many Latinos were convinced that Boehner would deliver in 2014. The argument that “…there’s widespread doubt about whether this administration can be trusted to enforce our laws,” is certainly valid, but why did the Speaker drink of Obama’s amnesty Kool-Aid to begin with? Get with it, Mr. Speaker: Granting amnesty to invading criminals is a crazy idea that should be thrown out and NEVER revived!
