"Cyberwarfare is alive and well, and forces hostile to Israel are among its most ardent practitioners. Thus it is not surprising that Israpundit, one of the most spirited defenders of Israel, was recently seriously hacked. (We at American Thinker have suffered a number of serous attacks ourselves, though we generally refrain from writing about them to prevent providing any satisfaction to the miscreants). "One of consequences of the recent attack on Israpundit is that the site has had to change its web address from Israpundit.com to www.Israpundit.org. "Ted Belman, who edits Israpundit, has written many articles for AT, and we wish him and Israpundit the best as they recover. "Check out the new location (same great content, new URL), and change your link if you have one to it." (Thomas Lifson, Sept. 16, 2014)The Canadian born Belman received a B.A,Sc (Engineering) from the University of Toronto and an LLB from Osgoode Hall. "My readers are both Jewish and Christian. The views on my blog are similar to the views expressed on CFP", Belman said. ("No wonder he has made enemies!" -CFP editor). Belman started off as one of the bloggers on feisty Israpundit (now Israpundit.org) and within a couple of years took it over, devoting his full time to it for the past 13 years. Five years ago he followed in the footsteps of his daughter, Aliza, who moved to Israel 25 years ago. Once there he quickly became integrated with professors, journalists, activists and politicians. "Happy to be here", he told CFP. Aliza served in the IDF for three years and then became an Israeli diplomat, serving in Zaire, now Congo, and in Brussels. She left the foreign service 8 years ago to get a PhD at George Washington University. She is now associated with Tel Aviv University and is head of the Department for Food Security. She also has started her own project to encourage and train Israeli entrepreneurs to look for success in the third world. CFP hopes this article will be the flashing neon lights pointing the way to Israpundit.org with the return of the courageous Ted Belman's 50 percent lost readership.
