Alison Grimes promises Job Fairs, for unemployed Kentucky Coal Miners after she is elected
--SATIRE Alison Grimes--the anti-coal Obama supporter who has twice refused to simply admit that she voted for the now-toxic President Obama during the last two elections--called Ace Reporter Hugh Betcha to clarify her positions on the future of coal in Kentucky and her race to the finish against Mitch McConnell for his Kentucky Senate seat.
Hugh, winner of the Al Sharpton "Most Articulate News Reporter, 2014" award, a 2013 Nobel prize winner for his short story, "The Accomplishments of Barack Obama," and recently feted on The View for his even-handed political reporting, a man who walks with kings and princes and a frequent guest at the White House, was happy to oblige. After a hastily arranged flight to Kentucky, he was met by Alison Grimes--who sported coveralls, a hard hat with head lamp and a face smeared with coal dust. "Thought you might want some shots for your magazine," she told the reporter--surprised by her unusual attire. "You are a brave woman," the reporter replied, "being anti-coal, favoring a carbon tax, and supporting a President who vowed to bankrupt the coal industry just a few years ago." "Barack who? Who said I voted for the guy? She replied. "Barely know him." "Did you vote for him?" the reporter pressed. "Not going to say," she replied, "the secrecy of the ballot box is sacred. I could have, but then again I could not have." "Why not just admit you did and eliminate that issue from the campaign?" "There are bigger issues than whether I voted for him or not."

"In a state in which 19,000 miners rely on the coal industry to support their families, and 70,000 workers indirectly derive their living from the coal industry, why do you favor the carbon tax and support Obama's plan to impose scrubbers that are going to impose billions of dollars in costs on coal fired plants and put thousands of workers out of business--just as he promised?" "Well I am a staunch supporter of coal," she replied indignantly. "Then why was your campaign adviser recorded as saying that you 'have to say that to get elected in Kentucky, but after the election, you will support Obama's heavy regulations on the coal industry.'" [Cricket noises........] "May I play 'what if' with you for a moment?" the reporter inquired. "Sure, I have nothing to hide, except for my voting record of course," Grimes replied. "What if you are elected, Kentucky loses its future Majority Leader in the Senate...." "...Yes." "...And you, as an Obama supporter and friend of the eco-nuts who favor running our cars on fermented pond scum and taxing coal and oil production out of existence, support the President in fulfilling his promise of bankrupting the coal industry, putting thousands of your fellow Kentuckians out of work, what then?" "I will work hard to provide them with job fairs, train them to be clerks, cashiers, stock boys at Walmart, and work on shovel ready jobs as Obama promised. As the President said, "McDonalds is hiring!" (See, "Obama to Coal Miners: McDonalds is Hiring") They can always flip burgers. Or, as Nancy Pelosi famously suggested: because the miners have ObamaCare and unemployment, they have no worries. They can become photographers, musicians, writers, dancers--they are free to do whatever they want. Being unemployed is a liberating experience."
