The incredible lightness of college morality

The kids at Harvard have been up so long it looks like down--literally, as Joe Biden would say. A recent poll taken by Campus Reform at Harvard University found that a fair number of students attending those ivied halls believe that America is a greater threat to world peace that ISIS. Yes, that ISIS, not the Egyptian goddess of health, marriage and wisdom, but the head-hackers currently raging through Iraq and Syria.

On a recent segment of "Fox News Insider, " the panel that included country star John Rich and Fox News' Harris Faulkner, among others, watched the Campus Reform video. And what was shown was an embarrassment to modern education, as America's presumably "brightest" students betrayed a staggering inability to think critically. Coincidentally, an exclusive Fox News interview with two captured ISIS jihadists had one admitting to killing more than "70 people" in less than three weeks. This made for an interesting moral juxtaposition between the Islamists and the Harvard students, as many of those students either weren't aware that ISIS has been raping, torturing and slaughtering thousands over the past year, or they simply didn't think it was all that bad. After viewing the video, Harris Faulkner posed an interesting question. She wondered if these students really believed America was the greatest threat to world peace, then who would they turn to protect them? A biting question to be sure and one that I suspect most of the Ivy League morons couldn't answer, or if they could it would be some lame talk about "multilateral action through the UN." I believe that this video, as well as the myriad protests on college campuses across America these past weeks, shows that we have a whole generation of clueless sycophants whose minds have been poisoned by malcontent agents provocateur. There doesn't seem to be an awareness of the sacrifices that millions of Americans have made throughout history in furtherance of freedom. This is not about democracy; it's about liberty, a concept that seems to escape these mindless troglodytes. Our college campuses are indicative of the failure of our entire educational system, as the majority of our youth have been brainwashed. Trouble is there doesn't seem to be much in there to wash, as reasoning, logic and the ability for deductive thinking is treated like a communicable disease in most schools. The number of families who are opting for home schooling or private schools has increased dramatically over the past decade, as many parents aren't thrilled with the pap "educators" are trying to infuse into young minds. It's clear the system is what it is and only fundamental change (to borrow one of the Left's most famous conceits) will make a difference. George Santayana famously said, "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." If the Allies had failed to stand up to the Axis during the Second World War, we would all be speaking German today. I am given to wonder if in the very near future all of us will be relegated to speaking Arabic, as a large number of our young people can't seem to distinguish good from evil.
