Obama’s EPA Now Wants to Regulate How Long You Shower

It looks like Obama’s EPA is working up to the idea that it should be allowed to say how long you shower. Apparently, if Obama’s EPA has its way, the President’s scolds will be there to harass you if your shower lasts longer than Obama has decreed that you are allowed to.

News broke on Tuesday that the EPA wants to monitor showering in hotels with the eventual eye toward regulating it. It’s just the latest part of the nanny state being built by Emperor Obama who thinks he should be there–EVERYWHERE–to tell you how to live your life. “The agency,” Free Beacon reported, “is spending $15,000 to create a wireless system that will track how much water a hotel guest uses to get them to ‘modify their behavior.'” “Hotels consume a significant amount of water in the U.S. and around the world,” it says in an EPA grant. “Most hotels do not monitor individual guest water usage and as a result, millions of gallons of potable water are wasted every year by hotel guests.” “The proposed work aims to develop a novel low cost wireless device for monitoring water use from hotel guest room showers,” it continued. “This device will be designed to fit most new and existing hotel shower fixtures and will wirelessly transmit hotel guest water usage data to a central hotel accounting system.” Imagine Obama’s future… you walk out of the shower and there is an EPA suit standing there with his “device” and a clipboard to berate you for taking too long to shower! Or, maybe a siren, a flashing red light and armed troops will show up if you exceed your allotted time. I wonder how long you will be sentenced to in shower jail? King Obama has spoken. So let it be written.
