Gerald Butts’ was equating Christians with devil-worshippers

Principal advisor to Justin Trudeau spends Easter taking shots at Christians

Gerald Butts, the principal advisor to the Liberal Party leader, spent part of Easter Sunday tweeting. In one tweet, he wrote, “With all the bible quotes on @twitter, a reminder from Willy Shakespeare: ‘The devil can quote scripture for his purpose.’”
Butts was called out for his tweet and it was pointed out to the principal advisor that perhaps Easter Sunday was not the best day to take a pot shot at Catholics. Butts, in true Grit fashion defended himself by saying he is Catholic and nowhere did he mention “Catholics,” (true). He later tweeted that people often quoted the bible for self-serving purposes. While what Shakespeare, or Willy as the Shiny Pony’s main advisor referred to him, wrote and the biblical quote were accurate, there was no context provided for the comments Butts made. Since there was nothing to indicate why Butts tweeted what he did on the day he did so, the only logical explanation for his comments is that he was taking a shot at Christians on Easter Sunday. Everyone other than true supporters of the Liberal Party of Canada knows that Trudeau is an empty suit and lacks the intellectual capabilities to be Prime Minister of Canada. This is the guy who told Canadians budgets balance themselves. Spending much of his time flitting between Wahhabi mosques, he lacks the maturity and intelligence to lead anything, let alone a country.

As the blog High Noon put it, Trudeau is a puppet and it has always been assumed that Butts is the one who is pulling his strings. Puppets can only be as smart as the puppeteer is and with the tweet, Butts appears to be “one string short of whatever the hell you call that thing with all the strings.” A quick peak at Butts twitter account (@gmbutts) reveals he is just as immature as his boss. On his Twitter page, he says, “Twitter is for journalists. Facebook is for your mom.” Ha ha ha! There is no other way to spin this; the tweet had no meaning other than to insult Christians on one of their holiest days of the year. As we have recently seen in the reaction to Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the left will go to great lengths to bash Christians for no other reason than the fact they are Christians. Butts must feel really good about what he chose to tweet about on Easter Sunday. The worst thing about his tweet was that it wasn’t even funny. Even the “hair apparent” is funnier than his puppet master and this was illustrated when he marked the 10th anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II. To mark the anniversary, little Justin issued a statement. In part it said of the late pope, “He shared our Canadian principles of liberty and fairness, and worked tirelessly to encourage people of all faiths to create a world unified by hope and peace.” Pope John Paul II had Canadian values? We all know when Liberals talk about Canadian values they really mean Liberal Party values. Were Pope John Paul II alive today and a Canadian, he would not be allowed to run as a Liberal Party candidate. In one of the strongest and most definite statements the boy wonder ever made, he announced last year that no one who does not believe in a woman’s right to choose can run as a Liberal candidate. We’re pretty sure John Paul would not have changed his mind about abortion were he still alive so so much for the late pope’s “Canadian values.” As for Pope Francis, aside from the issue of abortion he would also not be welcome in Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party. The current pope has endorsed the military mission against the Islamic State undertaken by Canada and its allies. But the “hair apparent” is opposed to such a mission. Trudeau has said Canada should not take part in the fighting against ISIS; rather we should stick to doing what we do best, providing humanitarian aid. He has said Canada has cold weather so we should be providing winter clothing and other humanitarian aid to those fleeing the Islamofascists. I’m sure Justin would be quite happy if people in Iraq and Syria were properly dressed in parkas and toques before they are killed by the head-choppers. The blog is right; the only interpretation of Butts’ comments was he was equating Christians with devil-worshippers. Those on the left are never happy unless they can criticize Christians. And no one should be holding their breath waiting for Butts to tweet anything insulting towards Muslims, even if it is in the Koran.
