Anjem Choudary should have his own television show

Radical UK imam, Anjem Choudary, made an appearance on Hannity last week. Choudary appeared alongside Pamela Geller to discuss the latter’s cartoon contest held in Garland, Texas, that saw two noble practitioners of the religion of peace shot dead by a Garland traffic cop. A security guard was shot and received minor wounds in what was by those able to understand what is going on in the world, a terrorist attack. Many people do not think Hannity should have the imam on his show, arguing Choudary should not be given an opportunity to express his radical views. These appearances might, so it is said, lead to some people watching becoming radicalized.
Ironically, some of those who object to Choudary being given air time are the same people who argue Geller was right to put on her event in the name of free speech. Hell, Choudary should not be appearing in tiny segments of shows. He should get his own show, preferably on MSNBC. An advantage of having a show on MSNBC is that the imam would never have to pay income tax if he didn’t want to. To those who argue someone like Choudary should not be given any time on US television let alone his own show because he is a vile and despicable, there is a two word answer to that—Al Sharpton. Sharpton, who has his own MSNBC show, poses a greater direct threat to Americans, especially police officers, than Choudary ever could. Sharpton, with the support of Obama and his administration, has done more damage in the United States than Choudary ever could by encouraging the thugs who occupied the streets of Baltimore to riot. Just last night, reports came out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, that two police officers were shot dead after a traffic stop. Two black men, brothers, have been taken into custody. These types of incidents, spurred on by Sharpton and his ilk, are becoming all too common these days. Yet Sharpton is the darling of the left wing media.

And looking at the cast of characters on cable news networks such as Alysin Camerota (I believe in free speech, but), Chris Cuomo (hate speech is banned in the Constitution), and Bill O’Reilly (Geller spurred the violence), and of course Sharpton, Choudhary definitely has the qualifications to be a TV host which are pretty well non-existent. The interview of Choudary by Hannity was bad. Hannity was much too excited and angry to conduct a proper interview. The host was constantly interrupting and talking over the imam, making it difficult at times to listen to Choudary. Allowing Choudary time to express his views would go a long way to educate those Americans who refuse to accept the dangers of radical Islam. A significant highlight of the interview was when Hannity asked his guest if he wanted to see Geller dead. He answered the penalty for defaming Muhammad is death and Geller should be killed. Choudary made it clear this was not his personal opinion but is dictated by Islam; she should be brought before a Sharia court, tried and then executed. An aghast Hannity said but Geller is not a Muslim, leaving it to Choudary to explain that doesn’t matter; there should be worldwide Sharia law. Choudary is not some isolated nutbar but is a good spokesman for radical Islam. The left could learn a lot from him about the dangers the United States and the world face from the jihadists. Ignoring Choudary or not letting him fully speak, is counterproductive. Would not a Choudary program on MSNBC (although these days he would also be a good fit for Fox) be informative? Perhaps he could get Obama to appear on his program. He could ask the president to explain how ISIL has absolutely nothing to do with Islam. He might even be able to get George W. Bush to come on and explain his big lie. Contrary to what the left says, Bush’s “big lie” was not saying Saddam had weapons of mass destruction; lots of people including Democrats believed that. Bush’s lie was when he looked forlornly into the cameras after 9/11 and said Islam is a peaceful religion. Choudary is an excellent spokesperson for radical Islam that poses a threat to the free world by their insistence of creating a worldwide caliphate. With weak world leaders like Obama, they may someday get their wish. People need to hear him to help understand the dangers radical Islam imposes.
