Fourteen is More Than Enough

Which creates a real dilemma for the MSM. While they initially were gleeful at this wonderful story of the courageous single mom undergoing in vitro fertilization they had to temper it with concern over America’s Current Worst Economy Since the Great Depression™. As much as they worship at the altar of singlemomdom even the dinosaur media had to question whether an unemployed, self described “professional student” having 14 fatherless children was really the best idea ever. Ever eager to anoint their latest victim, the MSM is going to throw its resources into berating the doctors who performed the in vitro fertilization. Expect for demands from the outraged nanny staters for more laws regulating the whole frozen embryo business. Predictably, they are missing the larger and possibly more sinister elements of the story. The father of the perpetually pregnant Nadya Suleman is a native of Iraq. Initial reports said Nadya’s father Edward Doud Suleman returned to Iraq to work as a “contractor”. But he told CBS news he is a “former military man”. Just out of curiosity, just how many Iraqi parents named their sons “Edward” back in Ed’s day? In 2008, Nadya’s mother Angela Suleman filed for bankruptcy claiming nearly $1 million in liabilities including debt to the IRS and real estate loans. Thus it’s not much of a stretch to suggest that 14 children could be a bit of a financial strain on the family. So what was Nadya thinking? The Mother of the Year isn’t talking yet but at least one of her friends is. Yolanda Garcia of Whitter who helped care for Nadya’s autistic son, yes there is apparently a special needs child in the group, told the AP that Garcia asked Nadya how she could afford in vitro fertilization while going to school. Nadya’s answer according to Garcia: because Nadya got paid for it. Garcia did not ask for details. I encourage the MSM be a bit more inquisitive than Yolanda Garcia. According to the Brookings Institute, the Muslim birthrate in Europe is three times higher than the non Muslim population. If the trend continues the Muslim population in Europe will double in 2015 as the non Muslim population shrinks by 3.5 percent. Mark Steyn breaks it down in America Alone and warns us that this Muslim population explosion is no accident. It is part of stealth jihad as Robert Spencer calls it. If we want to know what the US will be like in a few years we need only look to the UK. Muslims now have the numbers in Europe to wreak no end of havoc and they are doing it. Let’s set aside the “moderate Muslim” mythology. It is a concept that is not useful. Certainly there are Islamists who don’t support jihad. And I will gladly support their efforts as soon as they start to organize and actively campaign against terrorism. When might we see Mothers Against Suicide Bombings holding press conferences? Is there a growing grassroots anti terror movement in the Muslim community speaking out against jihad and helping law enforcement root out terrorists in the neighborhood? In fact the pro jihad movement is growing right here in the US. According to Robert Spencer we gladly invited them into the highest levels of our national security agencies. After 9/11 the call went out for Arabic translators and guess who answered? What is happening is that the pro jihad movement is learning to fly further under the radar. At a recent event, former CIA Director James Woolsey stated that many mosques in the US are currently being watched by the government and they know it. You remember Woolsey, he was Clinton’s CIA Director the guy Clinton refused to talk to because he was such a downer always going on about this jihad stuff. Woolsey also stated that 80% of all mosques the US are Saudi owned and operated while enjoying tax exempt status. Is anyone else seeing a perfect storm here? Could a young Muslim woman be hired as a brood mare to help populate the planet with more Muslims? No question this family needs money and no questions the Saudis have it. Oddly, nobody yet has been able to figure out just where this procedure took place. And Nadya is certainly deranged enough to sign up for such a thing. She actually holds a degree in child psychology. She also plans to pursue a career as a TV childcare expert according to a report in The Australian. She will have to compete with the likes of Dina Lohan and Lynn Spears for that gig. Over at Muslim site Umah.com the message board is all a twitter with praise to Allah for this multiple birth miracle. Former president of the Islamic Society of North America, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi gave the thumbs up to in vitro fertilization for Islamic couples to the great relief of all who worried such a procedure could run afoul of Sharia law. I daresay if Nadya were of any faith other than Islam like, say oh I don’t know, maybe Mormon, we would never hear the end of it. There are a lot of questions that need to be asked about this situation. Count on the mainstream media to ask all of the wrong ones. ©2009
