Illegal aliens bring with them the same disregard for law and order that exists in their homelands. No arrests are made - except in certain states.

No Arrests Were Made

New York City’s huge swarm of illegal aliens is getting restless. A few days ago several thousands descended on City Hall to vent their unhappiness. What were they complaining about? They were unhappy about being moved out of luxury hotels and into shelters! As a result of the disturbances of their unlicensed mob, security at City Hall is being beefed up. No arrests were made.

New York and other blue cities are reaping a whirlwind that is intensified by being a sanctuary city

Most illegals are accustomed to street violence in their homelands, countries like Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador – not to mention sub-Saharan Africa. As a result, New York’s subway system is dangerous and its streets are becoming arenas for daylight fights between illegals.

Here is a link to such a fight posted on X. No arrests were made.

Zerohedge’s Tyler Durden and the New York Post reported the cancellation of a high school soccer game on a public soccer field in East Harlem. It seems that thirty African illegal aliens refused to get off the field so that the match could begin.

The illegals were not impressed when police arrived and remained on the field. Instead of taking the illegals off the field, the police demanded to see the permits from each team for the match! The permits were sent for while the police, the uniformed teams, the coaches, the referees and the thirty illegals waited on the field for thirty minutes.

Permits arrived, inspected, and the police declared the permits valid. But the police still did not move the illegals off the field, even after one said, “You know what, # it, we don’t have to leave, we can do whatever we want!”

The two high school teams left the field because they didn’t feel safe. The police, once known as “New York’s Finest,” surely knew that the attitude of the illegals meant that they would resist being moved, a brawl would ensue, and arrests would be made. Then those arrested illegals would be taken downtown and released. So why bother. No arrests were made.

New York and other blue cities are reaping a whirlwind that is intensified by being a sanctuary city, by the Democrat (and Republican) refusal to close our southern border, and by Soros prosecutors who have a “catch and release” attitude toward all illegals – even those with criminal records who have been deported and have come back.

Saddest of all, however, is the knowledge that the homeless veterans in New York and other cities have no benefits like cell phones, credit cards, prompt healthcare and a $1500 per month stipend. Never mind living in luxury hotels.

But Some States Say Arrests Will be Made

Ignored by the mainstream media, several conservative states are defending themselves from the invasion of illegal aliens. Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Arizona, New Hampshire and Florida have passed (or are passing) laws aimed at illegal immigrants. (Following data are based on fine reporting of Darlene Sanchez of the Epoch Times.)

The Oklahoma legislature passed a bill that will prohibit illegals from entering or living in the state. Passed with a large majority, Governor Kevin Stitt (R) is expected to sign it into law. The bill reads: “A person commits an impermissible occupation if the person is an alien and willfully and without permission enters and remains in the State of Oklahoma without having first obtained legal authorization to enter the United States.” The law further states that a conviction of “impermissible occupation” is a misdemeanor punishable by a year in a county jail, a fine of up to $500, or both. Another offense will be a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison, a fine of $1,000, or both. Those found guilty, or who are released after agreeing to leave, must leave Oklahoma within 72 hours.

Iowa’s Governor Kim Reynolds (R) signed Senate File 2340 into law this month. The law makes it a misdemeanor for an illegal alien to be in the state if he has an outstanding deportation order, attempts to enter Iowa after being deported, or has an outstanding deportation order. The law also states that being in Iowa is a felony if the illegal has two misdemeanor convictions involving drugs or other crimes. Like the Texas law, the judge has discretion to drop those charges if the illegal agrees to leave the U.S. for his country of origin.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a law in April that takes effect on 1 July. The law requires Tennessee law enforcement to advise federal immigration authorities of the status of arrested illegals, and to cooperate in identifying and deporting them.

Georgia legislators passed House Bill 1105 that was motivated by the murder of student Laken Riley on the campus of Georgia University by an illegal from Venezuela, Jose Ibarra. Immigration officials confirmed that Ibarra entered illegally but was paroled into the United States because of “capacity problems” at border detention facilities. The Bill was sent to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) on 3 April and most of its rules will become effective when he signs it into law.

Cities And Counties Join The Fight

Louisiana’s legislature passed Senate Bill SB388 on 8 April and it is now headed to the Republican controlled House. The Bill allows state police to arrest suspected illegals within the state. Governor Jeff Landry (R) is expected to sign the Bill into law.

Arizona passed a bill much like that of Texas’ HB4, but Democrat Governor Kay Hobbs vetoed it. The veto caused the Legislature to write a November ballot measure that would require all Arizona businesses to use E-Verify, an on-line service that checks an employee’s ability to legally work in the United States against Social Security and Department of Homeland Security records.

The New Hampshire Senate, a red state, passed SB 504. The Bill is now in the House for passage and will go to the desk of Republican Governor Chris Sununu. The law will allow New Hampshire law enforcement to bring criminal trespassing charges against illegals entering from Canada.

Perhaps the most encouraging national movement to control illegal aliens is gaining momentum in the cities and counties of red and even blue states.

For example, Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams sued some 30 counties for issuing executive orders prohibiting temporary housing for illegal aliens. Nevertheless, Rockland and Orange Counties were successful in using their zoning laws to block Mayor Adams from busing illegals to their hotels. Zoning laws were also used by the city of Taunton, Massachusetts, to block illegals from staying in their hotels by suing a hotel that housed 120 illegals at the city’s expense.

Commissioners of Mesa County in Colorado passed a resolution declaring their county was a “non-sanctuary county” and will not provide shelter, medical services, and schooling to illegals sent to the county by the state or federal governments. Not only that, but the commissioners sent a letter to Denver’s mayor that they would not assist him with paying for the support of illegals already in his city.

States have a Constitutional right under the 10th Amendment to deny the enforcement of federal laws and regulations that harm them

States have a Constitutional right under the 10th Amendment to deny the enforcement of federal laws and regulations that harm them, including illegal immigration. By extension, counties and cities within a state also have that right. Once the courts affirm that constitutional right, other states and counties will also resist the entry and the economic support of illegals at their taxpayer’s expense.

Florida has proved to be as stern as Texas with regard to illegals.

Not only has Governor Ron DeSantis sent the Florida National Guard to the Texas border, he signed into law Bills SB1718, HB 1451, SB1036 and HB1589. Taken together, those laws do the following:

· mandate all businesses with 25 or more employees to use E-Verify to verify citizenship

· penalize employers of illegals

· increase penalties for human smuggling

· prohibit issuing a drivers license to anyone who cannot prove they are lawfully in the United States

· increase penalties for driving without a valid license

· prohibit issuance of ID cards to illegals

· prohibit counties from funding groups that issue IDs to illegals

· invalidate ID cards issued to illegals by other states

· mandate hospitals to collect the data on costs of healthcare provided to illegals

· increase penalties for illegals who have been deported and who return to commit a crime in Florida

Illegals certainly know which states provide the best benefits, which states and cities are sanctuaries for illegals, and which states are likely to take punitive legal action against them. So the tide of illegals going into Florida is dropping.

Perhaps Texas has the most aggressive stance with regard to illegal aliens and, as a result, the state is also seeing a drop in border crossings.

But the state still has problems. For example, a Texas law based on Senate Bill 4 makes it a crime to enter Texas except via a legal port of entry. The law was expected to go into effect last month, but is being stalled by court challenges. Texas also does not prohibit businesses from hiring illegals, despite the fact that a dozen of other states require employers to use E-Verify to check for citizenship.

A wind is blowing against the Biden/Obama administration

Texas, at the center of America’s border crisis, has made deterrence and enforcement priorities in its battle against the Biden/Obama administration. The Texas legislature spent more than $4.5 billion on Operation Lone Star since 2021 and has appropriated $5.1 billion more last year. Operation Lone Star is paying for miles of new border wall, buoys in the Rio Grande river, National Guard and police, and prosecution of illegals for state crimes like trespass and evading arrest.

Texas moved into the American political spotlight when Operation Lone Star bussed more than 100,000 illegals to sanctuary cities like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Los Angeles and the District of Columbia. Perhaps Texas Governor Greg Abbott thought that by adding to the flood of illegals that the Biden/Obama administration’s plan directs to those blue cities might convince city taxpayers to change their minds about that plan.

In a press meeting, New York’s Mayor Adams conceded that “residents are angry” and weary of the city’s illegal immigration crisis. He then filed a lawsuit against 17 bus companies for transporting Texas illegals to his city. In any event, those who can afford it are moving out of the city - voting with their feet. Those who cannot afford to move will vote in November.

Governor Abbott continued to turn up the heat by ordering the Texas National Guard to seize Shelby Park on the Rio Grande from the Border Patrol and evict the thousands of illegals that were there. Border Patrol agents were barred from the park and could enter the staging area only to launch their river patrol boats. It was reported that the long frustrated Border Patrol applauded the park seizure.

A wind is blowing against the Biden/Obama administration’s policy of allowing illegal aliens to enter the United States by walking across our undefended southern and northern borders. Besides the huge economic cost, we know that among those illegal aliens are Chinese and Muslim terrorists, saboteurs and spies. That means the wind will grow into a tornado when states and counties fully understand that the Constitution’s 10th Amendment allows them to refuse to enforce federal regulations and laws that will harm their citizens.

Let us pray that God will grant more states and counties the wisdom to protect themselves and our Republic.
