You might be a boot-lick'n liberal if
Contrary to what some of you liberals think, I don't wish you ill. Quite the contrary, I want to help you, and the first step to getting help is recognizing you have a problem.

Cain's Checklist for Presidential Candidates

As the announced presidential candidates continue to grow in number, it's going to be harder and harder for Main Street folks like us to keep up with the similarities and the differences. This is even more difficult because of the media's uncontrollable impulse to define each candidate based on labels, sound bites, and perceptions they want to create.

One Republican senator's welcome ideas on how to spur economic growth

I actually think we can do better than 3.5 percent on average, but nevertheless I like the thinking of U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy. You may recall that he defeated Democrat Mary Landrieu in last year's Louisiana Senate race - one of the Republican wins that gave the GOP the Senate majority and ended Harry Reid's reign of terror in the upper chamber.

Pathetic: 1Q GDP growth is a sad 0.2 percent
We told you yesterday that forecasts were not good for the coming report on first-quarter GDP growth, although we held out the possibility that the report could be better than the doomsayers were suggesting.

Why character matters

Let me take you back to a very old debate, because it’s curiously coming full-circle – thanks to the man very much at the center of it when it first started.

Liberals are lying about the death tax

There are few taxes liberals love more than the death tax. They figure that once you’re dead, your heirs have no legitimate claim to your money because they did nothing to earn it. And who does have a legitimate claim to it? The government, of course! Why? Because all wealth inherently belongs to the government and anything you are allowed to use throughout the course of your life is strictly the result of their kind beneficence.

Go bold, Republicans, on replacing the tax code

There's no better day than today (Tax Day) to encourage the Republican presidential candidates to go bold with their solution to our nation’s biggest hindrance to economic growth – the tax code.

In the business world, we would call Bill Clinton's Wife an empty suit

If you spend much time in business, you'll meet one of them. They're not hard to spot. They may have gotten a position by way of nepotism. Or maybe they gave a very impressive interview, but once hired it became painfully clear they didn't have what it took to do the job on a day-to-day basis. They had learned how to speak some of the language of business, but actually getting things done and done well was an entirely different story.

Michael Bloomberg donates another $30 million to Sierra Club campaign to kill coal plants

The only good news here is that Michael Bloomberg is out $30 million. I guess that's money he can't give to gun control groups. But the rest of the news is all bad. By giving another $30 million to a Sierra Club effort to kill coal plants (he gave $20 million previously), Bloomberg is continuing to support a destructive effort that's getting results.

President Obama has lost the nation's trust

This is not a shocker to those of us who have followed the decisions and indecisiveness of this president since he was elected. We don't trust him.

The mob killed Jesus

While watching the movie Killing Jesus, which was based on the book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, I noticed a stark similarity between how the Romans and the Jewish priests manipulated the mob (otherwise known as the court of public opinion) and how today's media does the same thing.

Whoa: Gallup shows 26 percent of blacks now identify as conservative

Yesterday I had lunch with a friend, Jim Clifton, who happens to be the CEO of the Gallup Organization. Whereas he gets his pulse of the public from the numerous and ongoing surveys they conduct, I get my pulse from callers to my radio show, people I meet while traveling and questions from audience members during keynote speeches.
